Do they screw off or pop off. I know it's a simple question but I'll never know unless I ask. right? I guessing screw off but just want to be sure.

The caseback remover is an excellent tool to open the watch without scratching the casebacks. PAM casebacks are screwed in very tightly so you can't unscrew them with your bare hand. At the minimum, you will need a sticky ball to open them.

I have one of these caseback remover tool and it helps me a lot.

I thought that a rubber ball would do a similar job. Granted, that I have not YET remove a PAM case back. Will the PAM back remover be a must?

While you may get the back off (if it hasn't been tightened fully) there is no way you will get it as tight as it should be when you put it back on. Do it with a sticky ball and it will leak. It won't even be fully rain proof. Sticky balls are not tools they are toys.

Have to disagree here. While I definitely do not recommend it, I've been in a spa for quite a while wearing my PAM005 Noob with PAM111 H Factory caseback tightened by the rolled up sticky tape ball trick. Not a drop inside the watch.

Again, while I don't recommend submerging it if you've not used a proper tool, it would definitely be at least rainproof if not more.

Should I grease the o ring(if there is one) before replacing the back?
