Hi Everyone

I have been looking for a bold font datewheel to replace the incorrect datewheel on a Pam092 Arktos A7750 (with skinny font). I couldn't find the lello datewheel (these are long gone). I managed to find one for the current VSF Pam088 GMT.

Here are the pictures of the watch and VSF datewheel.

I am wondering if the VSF 7750 datewheel looks correct in terms of spacing from the edge of number to the outer edge of datewheel? There seems to be a big gap. I looked around and typically the datewheels have centered dates on the disc. I am not sure what an A7750 datewheel would look like internally.

Anyway, I have ordered it. I don't have a way of opening the watch. I suppose I will just have to take a chance and see if it works when I send it to my watchsmith.

Are you 100% sure that the 092 that you have has an A7750 inside?

dadog13 Good point. I am not 100% sure. Its an old model. Not sure what other movement variations it would have come with. Did the old ones also come with ST2555?

patnaboy I am pretty sure the one you have is not with the A7750 mvt inside. These are some cheap 092 that have hit the market. I suspect the movement inside is a DG2813. I had one with the A7750 movement and the datewheel font was thick and similar to gen. If I am not mistaken the one that you have has no serial nr. on the case back G XXX/500

Thanks dadog13 . Yes there is no serial number on the back. That's too bad. Looks like this may have a DG2813. I will try to get the caseback open someday to see what is inside. I don't have a case back opener.

Here is the back:

patnaboy it’s what I thought. These are the cheaper version and not that accurate. It’s my assumption that the mvt is not A7750. Keep us updated in case you manage to open the case back (sticky ball is a great cheap tool for opening case backs on all PAMs).

Agree with dadog13 , the first and most important question is what movt is in your watch.

The second question is the compatibility between the DW 7750 and the P.9000. The mechanism itself should be similar and the order is the same, but adaptation may be required for the width of the wheel.

Standard DW 7750:
Clone p.9000 DW:

As you can see, the inner diameter is most likely the same, but what to do with the difference in the outer is not entirely clear.

I really needed that now, so thanks for sharing. Very often, I use such fonts in my programs and projects at university because I like it to be special, but not like everyone else. For this reason, I always try to follow all the new fonts that appear to use them. Last period I started to really like the spamming. Have you tried it? It is really amazing.

Is it possible to change the movement to 7750? Will need a new movement ring i suppose. If its possible then the new DW will likely fit perfectly to the movement IMO.

Unfortunately hands and subdial spacing won't be compatible with 7750
