It has been released for quite abit of time but couldn't find many discussions about it.
Most people state that the sunburst effect on dial is not that obvious comparing to gen, so any other reason why people steer away from getting this other then the sunburst effect?

A PAM has two distinct parts, the casework and the dial. If there are any major flaws with either, the watch won't be a popular one. The sunburst on the dial is a glaring omission, as it is distinctive and not found in many PAMs.

Whilst researching the 676 rep myself this came up. From what I read the sunburst effect on the gen is also subtle and less pronounced as others in the range.

I am yet to compare my rep 676 to a gen side by side, and untill I do I can not give a solid answer on the sunburst effect.

I can state on the rep it's very subtle indeed, but present.

A more glaring issue is the thicker case on the rep compared to gen.

I still do not have chance to check out the gen 676 in person but only 677 since the shop near my area always keep no stock for 676. The sunburst effect on 677 is quite obvious under the spot light at shop thought.
I wonder if gen 676 shares the same sunburst dial with gen 677?

Will be great if you can show me your rep 676 for reference :)

That's interesting about your photo with the flash, because even under that severe light condition (you can see the reflection of the tip of the minute hand, I can't see any sunburst. Here's a gen picture under sunlight (from watchprosite), the sunburst isn't as subtle as you read somewhere.

There's Sunburst effect at 1&6. I saw it today better in direct bright sunlight better.

It's nowhere near as pronounced asked as that gen, nor is there any visible grain on the dial as there is on the gen.

The gen photo is taken in bright sunlight outside by a pool.

The rep photo is taken indoors, dim sunlight (look at the floor in background) and a shit ton of flash

So when you were outside in direct bright sunlight you were without a phone with a camera to take a picture without your shit ton of flash?

Are your trying to bait me?

Bait you into what? You stated that the gen picture is in a different lighting condition compared to your rep and you are absolutely correct. And then you mention that you are in direct sunlight and you can see the sunburst. So asking for the rep picture in direct sunlight and not using the flash (which I presume would automatically turn itself off in such a bright environment) to have a more accurate comparison is called baiting?

Not as good as the other week, but we are in October here in the UK. Sunshine is a ever decreasing commodity this time of year.

Sunshine pic up

I actually saw it but came back to this thread when you quoted expecting another picture. If that's the best sunburst effect with the sun actually on your dial, then it is very weak, almost non-existent considering the angle of the shot. Maybe it's also affected by the crystal as it reflected much of the sun, unlike the gen where the crystal is very clear.
