Pam 629 ... anyone bought one recently ?

I got mine last year. I still love it.... LOVE the cali dial.

I was wondering if there had been any new issues from the factories on this watch.
here is an older video I found. LOVE the high domed crystal.... I got this ZF version.

No new versions were released after the ZF version (Jan. 2016) with the DLC Titanium case and the sapphire crystal.

Well I got its brother the PAM617. Primarily because of the logo. Love it.

i just looked at a pic of it.... yes its a brother from another mother.... no cali dial. lol

Yep, same domed crystal.

thats cool.... its a great watch. I don't wear it that often because I am so obsessed with my bronzo and fiddy.... those usually get worn alot more.
But the 629 is a watch I usually fall back on when I have not had time to change out a strap on one of the other 2.
the black case is neutral and the straps I have for it are usually in the brown family so.... they go with everything.

but i always enjoy wearing it.

I bought the SF because the case inscription used the right font. ZF doesn't. And then I bought a low distortion KW crystal and popped that on to replace the SF blue AR crystal. Looks great. Also bought the KW 617.

Sorry I meant lever. Yeah, I chose the SF because of that but knowing the crystal was blue. Changing crystal out was definitely worth it. Just wish the factories could get the DLC right on these lighter black PAMs. H factory did it on the 029.

thats interesting.... i'll have to have a look at the lever on my 629.
in fact ..... i'll have to have an all over look again at the watch.

Gotta get me a 629...I just tripped over it today at Torobravo's - what a handsome watch. Could somebody please give me an idiot's guide to the crystal colour issue? I'm new to all this! This thread is pretty much all I know about the 629 - it doesn't seem to be mentioned in Ale's reference.

It's not a crystal coloration issue. It's the tint of the AR coating applied on the crystal, which if you check in some angles, white light can be seen as bluish instead of white. According to Norrie, the SF exhibits this issue. I have not seen it on my ZF PAM617 (which came out the same time as the PAM629).

From my local dealer, he gets a lot of breitlings from them, they are awesome.
I'm from Brazil but he is from China. He orders the watches directly from the factories and get them here to us.
