Awaiting the V6F 616 Carbotech from Ryan at intime.
Read the forum carefully, but being a novice I am slightly confused about some of the advice and if it is still relevant.
With it being a 7750 movement do I still need to be careful with changing the date between certain times.
The secs@6/ secs@9 is baffling to me, does mine fall into the category? Do i need to only change the time at a certain point of the day.
Forgive me for the questions but it'll be typical if me to get it and f*ck it up in the first five mins of getting it!

So if someone could explain in simple English for me I'd be grateful.

Okay, first things, your watch is a seconds@9 because as you can see the seconds hand is not on the center post with your hours and minutes hand but it in its own dail. That dail for the seconds hand is at the 9 o'clock position, thus the name seconds at 9.

For your second question, yes, do not change your date too close to midnight, generally do not quickset the date between 8pm and 4am. This is because the gear that shifts the date wheel might already be engaged and if you quick set the date when it is engaged, that bugger will snap and off you go to your watchsmith.

Have a look at this album to understand what I'm talking about.

The "Do Not Change Date" window is actually more 10PM to 2AM (if you check the last image in the imgur album, the date change gear has already passed the date wheel gear at around 2:30). The safest position to change the date is at the 6 o 'clock position (AM/PM). That way, the date change gear is far from starting the date change or far past changing the date.

You can change the time at any time (just make sure you pulled out the crown to the outermost 2-position). I've almost changed the time when it was in the date change (1-position) a few times so I've developed a habit of making sure the crown is pulled out completely before making any time adjustments. :D
