I am deciding to get a Pam 569 v6f version.
I need a suggestion which movement should I go for between A7750 or seagull movement.

Thank you for all suggestion

Ps. All the exterior is the same with any movement?

there are a couple differences between the 7750 and seagull, one being that they have a different beat rate; 7750 is 28800, seagull is 21600, so on a watch with a traditional seconds hand that rotates around the whole face of the watch, the seconds hand will not be as smooth in its movement in a seagull as compared to a 7750. but because the seconds hand on the 569 is so tiny, the difference is barely noticeable unless you have 2 side by side to compare. secondly there are many who argue that the seagull is more reliable than the 7750, however the troubles with the 7750 were with the watches that had a chrono function, which the 569 does not, so on a performance and reliability matter either one is fine. but i think the main point to take note of here is that the price of seagull pams is quite a bit cheaper than their 7750 counterparts, and yes the exterior is all the same regardless of whether its a 7750 or seagull. i've had both a 7750 and seagull 569 and they're absolutely identical.

another difference is the position of the balance wheel: 7750 is at 11 oclock, seagull is at 6, however the gen p9000 balance wheel is at 7, so both are wrong in this regard, but the seagull one is "closer" to the gen placement of the balance wheel. but this is a pretty moot point since the 569 has a closed caseback. if not for the price difference, i would go for seagull for display backs like in the 312/351/441 simply due to the movement looking more "accurate" than the 7750.

but because of the price difference, and negligibility of the slower beat rate in pams cos of the tiny seconds hand, personally for me i would always go with the seagull option. but of course that's just my opinion. hope this helps make your decision :)

Have the 569 with seagull on as we speak. No complaints at all and it don't think the 7750 was worth it for this piece

Thank you very much for your kindly reply. I think I would jump for seagull movement with this case.

My vote goes to Seagull too. A lot more cheaper option and by my experience pretty reliable. Only downside-loud rotor. :(

I have a seagull one and so far so good. In fact I have had better luck with this seagull than in some of my other 7750's

I usually advise to go with the seagull, but some of the recent threads made me think about it.
It's a very good alternative because of the cheap price, and many members including me are happy with the seagull reliability so far. Just be aware that if it breaks it will be hard to find somebody to work on that movement, so much that it could be better/cheaper to buy another watch.

If it breaks you can get another seagull movement from Otto Frei for $45 or so

just a side note, with regards to the noisy rotor, having had 3 different 569s (1 7750 and 2 seagull), my latest seagull one has the quietest rotor of all 3, while my last seagull one had the loudest and sounded like it was loose inside the watch and it was grinding against the insides. so I guess when it comes to the rotor it really is quite hit and miss. but I'm very happy with my current one, very quiet

Ofrei does carry them, but theyre $60 with tax and shipping. BUT, the one thing that most people dont consider is that, much like cars, what breaks the bank is rarely the part... its the labor. Yes a new movement is fairly inexpensive compared to most, but since the appearance of the 2555 in these PAM reps is a somewhat new thing, so few know the work involved in swapping a new movement. It's not really a plug-n-play thing.

Seagull movement for me also. I just recently purchased a 569 seagull movement. So far no issues!

Is this a website? Because I want to buy a Seagull Movement to have as a spare just in case.
