Hi Everyone

I've received my first rep - PAM 569 and I love the exterior! However I'm having troubles with the A7750 movement. Have searched the forum quite a bit but I'm still not sure.

The watch works brilliantly (time accurate) when it's worn on my wrist but stops after around 3 hours of being left on table. I've tried swirling and shaking a few times to get it started. The second method was trying to wind it manually which I'm not sure if I'm doing it correctly. The crown is on the left side (not the usual right) so when it's fully depressed, I wind it upwards (facing dial) or anti-clockwise (facing crown guard). I did it for about 20 rounds, very slowly while hearing a small ticking sound (The other direction has slight resistance so I didn't try). It still didn't start so I swirled the watch again a few times to get it going. It's hard to see if I'm doing it correctly as the case back is not transparent. I don't have any tools with me so would prefer not to open it up.

Hope I can get some guidance from the you all. Thanks a lot in advance! Appreciate your time.

Hey there, on a normal A7750 with the crown on the right you would wind up (clockwise). But on the 569 the movement is upside down so you would wind down (still clockwise). There should be light resistance as the gears turns, the clicking noise with no resistance means you're winding in the wrong direction. I usually swirl to get the movement going, give it half a dozen slow gentle winds, put it on and it's good for the day

I've had this issue with the 569, but I've also had it will all the new P.9000 clones with the decorative plates. I've chalked it up to the trade-off of having a better looking movement for the low PR. Still aggravating though and I feel your pain haha.

Resistance means you are winding the spring up. I wind my autos 20-30 turns in the morning and at night to make sure they don't die while I'm not wearing them. Just wind them slowly and smoothly.

You aren't supposed to wind rep autos. The gears aren't as robust as gen ones. Eventually you may cause something to break. I've not measured PRs on my auto PAMs but they probably are at least 24-36 hours. YMMV as we are talking about rep movements here.
