*** Pam 569 KW/Seagull low/no power reserve help ***

Hello all Pam lovers and gurus,

My beloved Pam 569 has been slowly "not performing" for a few days now.

When I wear it, it will power up and go, then it will gradually slow down. Took t to a local watch smith, he mentioned a "spring" is broken, but would cost me more than the watch itself..yikes(lol)

Shall I just forget it and get a new one?

Or, is there any where in the CONUSA/SOCal who can fix it on the cheap? thx much

When i received mine almost a year ago, mine did the same.(seagull)
Sead sugested that i hand wind it for a week. I did so and it is running perfectly since

since it is a destroy/lefty, did you wind it forward or backward? and how much did you had to wind it? I do not want to break it lol thx

Well, a brand new seagull st2555 is just ~ $40-50 at eBay.

To handwind a destro you must turn the crown "downwards"

do I turn turn forward or backward after turning the crown upside down? thx

The easiest way I find to do it is to turn it around like a 'righty' watch and wind normally -- then turn it back around and strap it on.

U mean upside down or right to left ? Then wind forward or backward ? Ty

Make it look like a right-hand model in your hand (180 degrees on its face) and then wind the way you would a normal hand-wind watch pushing the crown away from you as opposed to toward you.
