Well, here is an attempt to create my first review. My pictography is below standard, beware!

As preface, I joined this forum to get full access to Senor @ALE7575 's encyclopedia on PAMs. This is the forum I check sort of regularly now.

I think PAMs are ungainly (desgarbado) but I wanted to acquire and inspect the most outrageous (indignante) model available. I identified the bronzo and the 569 as suitable candidates. Mr @mysterio was kind enough to clarify a few questions that I had in the process, and I pulled the trigger on 569.

I have had the 569 for a day or few now. I will not go into its appreciable aspects. It has been classified as a super rep, "close enough" or similar wording. I will concentrate on the flaws I see, and would appreciate feedback!

The bezel seems slightly misaligned. But that would be the case with gens too - I guess.

The bigger issue is the crown is abutting the case. In reviews of gen, at least that I have seen, one can see blank space between crown and case. Like this.

That nut at case seems visible even when lever is depressed.

Nope. No blank space between crown and case when closed. So is this gen like?
Also, the roller at end of lever in this example seems too big in this example. Overwhelms the triangular shape of lever-end in low resolution photographs. Lever is ok, roller is too big.

Ok, next to movement. Have marked the hour markers on this leftie.

Actually, at this point, I have to mention something about position of spring position w.r.t. hour marker. But this is a leftie and things are mirror imaged. I need to get to other duties, so will let somebody else comment

Last, cashback cover. It looks brass coated with silvery stuff to me. But for a big watch, it is light.

Ok, gotta go.

Your 12 o'clock marker is crooked and IMHO is more of a flaw that the bezel being off, granted you did zoom into this thing x1000:lol:

The balance wheel position is to be expected for a destro. It is basically a normal watch rotated 180 degrees. So the A7750 decorated P.9000 movement with balance wheel @11 will have the balance wheel rotated 180 degrees with respect to the original position, so now it is @5.

Good review,Personallyithink the watch is fine, not sure if my standards & expectations are lower than some other members but sometimes we need to take a step back & ultimately remember that these are made in Chinese "factories" that in turn produce a watch that cost a few hundred dollars & not produced in a hyper clean panerai factory made by machines that costs thousands of dollars that work on super high tolerances,The final watch might be put together by hand but the manufacturing process involved is probably 100 times more precise than their Chinese counterparts,
I think the factories making these watches for us are doing a cracking job considering the price point we are charged

This explains why one has to turn the crown from 12 to 6 to wind it. I found this out by trial and error!
And given the large crown, rotation degrees constrained by the crown guard, I have to give it >60 turns for 24 hour charge.
It would be nice if the TD or manufacturer sent a simple instructions (few lines printed out on cheap quality paper would do)...

Thanks!

Wonder why nobody is as bothered as I am on the crown being so close to case...

Any pics of the mid case?

Heard the mid case is updated and thinner now like the pam 305.

Thanks!

I wind the crown by turning around the watch so the crownguard is on the right. Then turn the crown as you would normally. ;) By the way, an automatic watch should not need that many turns. It gains power reserve using the rotor.
