Pam 520..

I searched the forum and I dont find any pam 520s being mentioned much ... I think thats a bit unusual... Being the rep is quite good imho...


Well here it is, my pam 520

I think the fit and finish is very nice... The cutouts on the sandwich dial is also very clean and crisp, the fonts are printed nicely and everything seems to be great..


There are of course flaws, like any other reps.. I dont have a gen to compare to, but comparing from the gen pics the most obvious tells are:


1. The hands on the subdials are wrong, on the gen the "arrowhead" is more towards the middle, the rep is on the end of the hands.


2. I personally think several fonts on the reps are thinner than the gen, but without holding one I cant tell for sure.


3. Well the movement - duh hahaha...


4. I also think the chrono pushers are a wee bit longer on the rep than the gen...


Other than that I think the rest are okay (close/very similiar to gen). Im not sure about the colour of the lume and the printing but it looks okay to me....


I saw the white rep version as well but it feels wrong... The dial is a bit too "cream" and I think the lume colours are wrong too - plus the hands and indices lumes dont match...


What do you guys think?

I am a huge fan of this watch and i would have bought it without any hesitation if only they put a little more effort into the movement. Your pics are great and the watch looks really nice and even nicely complimented by that strap. But that movement, oyyy that movement. I think this is what has held everyone back from making this purchase.

If the chrono pushers are too long this is not the newer KW release IIRC.

Pretty, this and the 518 which might be my first white face.

Where did you get this watch. It does appear to have the rectified pushers. Not bad. I'm on the fence about the 520/518. Sharp, for sure, but maybe too much for me.

This rep is nice and well built but it is not very accurate following current standards
You should add to your indicated flaws
- Lume and inscription colours are worng
- The shape of the hands are wrong
- The center of the seconds BIg hand is wrong
- Caseback has engraved Platinum

It's a real pity the maker did not make that little extra step to achieve a bit more accuracy, nonetheless I love it, even if it's full of flaws the case shape and the dial are really talking to me and hopefully one will soon find his place in my collection.

Congrats Shade on the PAM520 and thanks for sharing. I´m on the fence for this as well and these are the first member pics I see. Even f not too accurate, overall it´s a beautiful watch to look at. Is this the one from the Intime-site with loner pushers or KW? Hope to see some pics and a lume-shot soon. Wear it well and enjoy.

had a look at the latest ver. the 518 is real sweet, movement aside imho the fit and finish has still a long way in terms of fit and finish, no where near pushing superRep status.
