Yes, I think it should be a Q series.

The tip of the hands is too long, lume on hands and markers does not match, crowntube and pushers are way too long. Something's wrong about the external edge of the dial but I can't define it, it looks like it is sloped in gen maybe?
On the caseback the logo looks messed up and it shows "Au750" instead pf "Pl950" which is correct for the white faced platinum gen.
The venus/lemania manual movement looks good, and is the only viable option imho.

Don't get me wrong, it is a nice effort, but I think we need one of the big players on this. This is one of the nicest PAMs and deserves a great rep imho :)

Wow, good eye kilo:D I didn't spot the difference in the hands but it's obvious now that you've pointed it out.

Dial colour and CP look wrong too.

The caseback looks rubbish but like you say, overall it's a nice effort.

I couldn't agree more with kilo's assessment. I would also like to add that while the Venus copy is nice, I would hope that one of the big players invests some time in decorating the movement a little. I know that it will never be as nice as gen, but woh the recent Rush of improvements to the visibility of movements, I would hope they can do better. Right now the decoration looks like h factory decorations of the 6497 circa 2005. I think we can all ask for more out of this beautiful watch.

Good obsevation, here is a comparison with gen ( gen on Right). Too bad there will never be a super rep or even first class rep on this

I'm happy the factories are at least taking a stab at this series -- the flaws are many, but this is just a step in the process of higher production quality and hopefully a super rep one day.

Some more flaws just noticed:

Both the hour and minute hand - Kilo mentioned that the tips are too long. The legth of the both hands seems to be wrong, but the thick portion is way too short and the tip is too long, so it seems they got the per-portion wrong on this for both hands. Size shape and color of the chrono seconds hand, and subdial hands is off as well

I believe this came from the same factory that tried to make these as quartz watches not long ago - no proof, just a hunch in terms of quality of production.

I thought the same thing Ruski. The quartz watches seem to have disappeared.

Love the movement in the rep though (Seagull I think) . A Noob factory version might be worth a serious look.

Not much of a movement expert, might be a Seagull SG2903 (based on a Venus movement). It does have some great potential for improvement. All of the main components are there, just need some reshaping of parts, or at least the correct finish (even the removal of the blueing on the screws would be a plus).

Thanks guys. Looks like I'll just have to wait for a better rep. I can live with the odd flaw or three but this rep has a few too many.

And what about this one from kw?

Hands are correct now, and pushers as well. Plenty of blue.screws, modest decoration and engravings a bit messed (look at the logo) on the back of the watch, but it looks way better at first sight!

Agree with kilo. It's looking better but that logo on the caseback would drive me nuts [emoji2]

Confused. KW says current offering does not yet have buckle w/ logo, and not sure about another update in pipeline. So basically they said they would not sell me one, no quote.

Intime now lists 518/520 and a few other folks for $308.

The watch on the Intime site is not the KW.

Gen is 45mm, this is 44mm on Angus' website. KW and Josh have the 45mm version, but the movement sticker is wrog, I swear, they make mistakes like this on purpose.
Cheers!
