I just received this 505 and it's beautiful visually.

It's an A7750 movement, I am not very familiar with this movement. I have searched but only found conflicting data.

1. Does this charge with the rotor only one direction?
2. Is it normal that the rotor spins super fast counter clockwise? When looking at caseback.

When spinning clockwise it seems to have resistance and it has some sort of
clicking/ticking noise. Again from perspective looking at comeback. Is there some way to fix this and is it a known issue?

One more thing, I cant change the date, I unscrew and pull the crown out I can move minute+hour but if I click it in once it moves just the hour hand. Am I missing something or how do you change the date?

Here is a pic just for fun

photo not showing, think u got a VSF p9000 movement thus hour hand can be adjusted independently but not the date (just like gen)

a photo of the movement would help

You might be right, I feel like a tard now. The website I bought it from said it was A7750. Below is the pic of the movement. I decided on the V6F version which says A7750 but now I am not sure which version I have.

What about the other issues I mentioned regards clicking and spinning rotor? These normal?

Completely normal since it is a unidirectional winding movement. The clicking is normal too, it‘s the rotor mechanism winding the watch.

Thanks for the reply,

Is there any way to make it slightly quieter? The clicking is quite audible.

Some proper lubrication will help quiet the rotor. But ask a watchmaker to do it, it needs to be a specific type of lubricant.

Thanks mysterio,

I heard other complaints about this noise i was speaking about, not the rotor but more the ticking/clicking that occurs when winding. So when the rotor spins in the winding direction, i hear a sound like a zipper zipping or winding a music box. Has there been any way to make this a little quieter? I heard other people have this issue but did not find any fixes.
