Greetings,

I'm going to buy a Panerai Luminor GMT (441/438) or Marina (386). I've found several models from TDs and read the forum as much as I can but I'm a bit confused because of the product details in TD's web pages :cryingbadly: My options are:

PAM441 O Real Ceramic V6F 1:1 Best Edition on Brown Asso Strap P.9001 (PureTime) Best looking case+strap+ceramic
PA15860 - PAM441 O Real Ceramic V6F P9001 (TSwatch) Same as above but more expensive. Why? Do they have the same movement?
PA16443 - PAM441 O Real Ceramic Casing V6F Seagull ST255 (TSwatch) Cheaper with a different movement. Can it be the same version with the one on puretime?
PA16294 - Pam441 O Real Ceramic ZF P9001 (TSwatch) ZF factory's ceramic version. I don't like the strap color tone.
PAM438 O DLC ZF 1:1 Best Edition on Brown Asso Strap P9001/B (PureTime) Better numbers (no thin 8 etc). But DLC Plated version. Also has a 9001/B movement. Is it better than V6F versions???

PAM386 M Composite 1:1 Best Edition on Brown Asso Strap P.9000 Movement (PureTime) More expensive than other Marinas but I couldn't find any advantages and reason for the price difference. Lume looks bad
PAM386 M V6F 1:1 Best Edition on Brown Asso Strap P9000 (PureTime) My personal favorite but TSwatch has a V2 which states 9000 movement. But there is no explanation on this one. Does it have a false movement than gen.?
PA15658 - Pam386 M V6F Titanium LT V2 P9000 (TSwatch) has a different center needle for the hands. Which one is correct hand needle? This one or above?

1) First of all what is the difference between 441 and 438?

2) Center pin which holds all the hands of the watch is different on all versions. Some are black screw style, some are flat metallic and some has a hole in the middle and a round metal around. Which center pin is correct (gen style for 441)?

3) Ceramic versions are cheaper than the DLC plated models. But ceramic ones looks best for me. More homogeneous distribution of black color is noticeable on ceramic ones. DLC coated ones has some purple reflections and doesn't give the silky look of ceramic ones. Is DLC coated ones are more durable and scratch proof than the ceramic ones? Don't they fade the black color in time? I really don't understand why they are more expensive than the ceramic ones. I really would like to go with a ceramic model. If I should prefer coated SS/TI over ceramic please warn me.

4) As long as I understand all watches has the A7750 movement. Differences are P9000, P9001, P9001B clone movements. Is there a big difference? Which one is more reliable? I had many problems with A7750 before so I'm not a fan of this movement. Which version do you suggest?

5) At TSwatch web site there is a 441 model from V6F with a "Asian Copy P.9000 movement basic on Seagull ST255 automatic" movement. I think A7750 is better than this. Right?

6) I'll probably go with 441 real ceramic from V6F but it's price is $428 on TSwatch whereas same watch is $338 on puretime. Are they same? Or pure time sells the Seagull ST255 version which is cheaper ($318) on TSwatch? I'm really confused  Does it have a correct center needle that connects all the hands? It's black on both versions in TSwatch but metallic on PureTime. So basically all 3 are different watches :cryingbadly: ZF version has a flat metallic center.

I really love this watch but since there are so many different versions (even the ones has the same name has different properties on different TD web sites) I'm really confused and need your advices :callme: Please direct me to the version which has a most gen. looking front view with the most reliable movement and durable case.

Thank you so much for your time and support :shuffle::thumbup:

Best Regards,

I think the OP would have been served well had he did some reading first (or used the internet) . Anyway,

1. PAM438 compared to PAM441; difference is basically the ceramic bracelet although there are other minor differences.
2. Flat metallic
3. Ceramic is better in terms of replication, however by replicating the material, you are also replicating an issue with the ceramic, which is potential breakage should the watch be dropped.
4. There are discussions on A7750 vs ST2555, basically decide what you like.
5. See sbove
6. The black metallic CP might just be due to lighting. I don't see the 428$ rep you're talking about. It's cheaper than PT's price.

I have a DLC coated Ti. 386, and it's hard to imagine a more beautiful PAM! Been wearing it in constant rotation, with a Ammo strap, and no issues what so ever. 7750 keeps great time, and the DLC so far, is holding up very well indeed.
