Hello guys,
I am a Some time lurker and after the new movement hype i decided to go on and buy a 441 pam vsf rep last March. Yesterday my watch stopped and when I was seeing it I noticed in the movement a part was loose, so before I contact my td I was wondering if you guys could give some input identifying this part for more easy identification of the problem and some advice [emoji2]

It’s one of the clips who fix the movement to the case. If this clip is lose there is also a screw floating inside the watch now.

Easy fix. Just open the case back and screw the clip back in place

Yeah, movements have 3 of them that secure the movement to the case. They each consist of that clip that you have pictured, plus an anchoring screw to hold the clip in place.

So you found the clip. The next step is to remove the caseback (not too hard on these 441s), find the screw to keep it from getting caught in the internal gears, then replace the screw+clip to properly anchor the movement. Look for the other two on the periphery of the movement for guidance of how to reinstall the loose one.

Regarding the screw I think that is I think it is stuck in the internal gears near the balance wheel (I think that in the last picture you can see it). I am not a whatchsmith but my question is that if this is a easy fix on a local whatchsmith or should I send it to my td for a proper full acessment and see if the watch gears were heavily damaged.

Thanks for the inputs

Go to a local watchsmith. Why would a TD help more than a year after purchasing?

Yeah, I would imagine a TD not being all that helpful at this point.

I would suggest purchasing a very fine set of tweezers, having a drink, try to fish out the screw, and reinstall it yourself. Provided you can get the screw, this is about as simple as any fix out there.

In regards to the gears, if something needs to be fixed then it will present itself in due time. Personally, I would try it myself, and if if there is a gear or whatnot broken, have hat fixed when the time comes.

Thanks for that, although I don't have the proper skill set this is something this is something that I want to develop in time but not for now.
Thank you for your input unknownwatchmaker
