PAM 422 SF and superclone thoughts

Hi everyone,

I'm actually searching for a PAM422, found a SF to a TD, and to my untrained and newbie eyes, the SF looks like a great replica, really close to the Gen dial-wise !
What are your thoughts on the Sf version and his Superclone movement ?

There were no tests on those in the well documented Panerai Guide, so i'm asking here

Haha, actually it’s because I totally am a newbie in the replica world.
So if a specialist, or someone into it with knowledge would tell me that a Noob or ZF, or any other Is way better, I d dig into it and check the informations

And I don’t really know the superclone movement, reviews are mixed on it, some says it’s great and others hate it. So I don’t really know :/

Noob never made a PAM422, ZF did but it wasn't anything better than the SF and probably isn't available anymore. The watch is not perfect, the font on the dial is not close to the gen but it's probably only apparent to those who will scrutinize the watch.

The superclone movement is loved because it's a very good clone some hate it because not a lot of watchmakers can fix it so if it breaks down, you'll have to located a replacement movement.

Indeed, i looked closer and the fonts are totally off on the pictures i sent in the topic
I checked it deeply and it looks like they've changed that, at least with what i see on the pictures of the website of the TD.

Here they are all 3. Do you know if they did an updated version of the 422 at a time ?
Fonts seems more accurate on the TD's pictures, even the "I" of Luminor is well centered compared to the maybe "older" SF version.

It's nice that you are trying to get the best bang for your buck. But in all honesty, not one single person you meet and force them in whatever way you try to make them take notice of your watch will be interested if the I is centered or not, let alone know what watch it it is. Only you. The whole point of owning a rep is to enjoy it. It seems you have already fallen into the not satisfied camp.

I do am conscient that those are replicas and will never have something perfect for the price i'll pay of course.
Actually, about the fonts, it was just for my personal knowledge that i was asking if an update was made on the 422, the non centered "I" or the non accurate fonts would never avoid me to buy it and enjoy it ! I used this as an exemple to show the difference between the SF's and the eventual update they made on it

Also, i am thorned between the 372 and 422 and accuracy to the gen might be a decisive factor to which one i'll buy. (even if any of those will of course have imperfections, i will not be on the dissatisfied side )

If the 372 had 4 faults and the 422 had 7 faults, you would choose the 372. Making you dissatisfied with the 422 even though you wanted it.

Actually i love both the same way and can't decide between them for few days now, either the simplicity of the 372 or the beauty of the 422.
So yeah, the more accurate to the gen could be a factor in the decision i have to do, but i won't buy one i love less because it is closer to the gen

The Noob PAM372 is more accurate but you can't buy it because it's been discontinued by Noob for a few years now.
