Hi!

I purchased a PAM 416 from Toro on sale for $129 and had it delivered a couple of weeks ago. I noticed that is wasn't holding much power despite wearing it in moderate activity and winding it.

Today after leaving it for around 10 hours it seems to have died. I've tried shaking it and winding it but no luck, it's just not powering up at all.

Any advice?

Thanks

When I wind the watch the big gear is moving and clicking but nothing else is happening.

Thinking of notifying the td - I have an order outstanding with them.

That's a hand wound watch, not an automatic. Shaking it would do nothing.

Fully wind it (you'll feel a stop when it's fully wound) and check the power reserve.

I have the same watch and have to wind at least 20 odd full revolutions to reach fully wound

Thanks guys, but I've fully wound it manually (to the point of resistance) however it still isn't working :(

U.K.
@karmank123 if that is the situation

A. Contact toro and it have to do a round trip to china & back I expect

B. The base of the movement is something a watch repairer can work on but in the end it work out cheaper I think going A. I expect

It's a pain when this happens but it does happen in this game

It's a 6497 movement in a closed caseback. I think you can pick up new movements on eBay for under $50. If you don't care about the decorations (you can't see them behind the caseback anyways), swapping movements might be cheaper and will be faster.

Thank you all.

I gently knocked the big gold circle at the top and it started working again.

Let's see how long it continues to work for :)

If knocking the balance wheel got it going take a closer look and check for any debris in there that might contact the wheel. Compressed air might help.
