Hey, picked up my first PAM and posting my first review on RWI today so please be gentle.

Just got my PAM 411 in from Toro since they're having it on sale at $129, I documented my ordering process on the Toro buyers review so give it a read if you're curious!

Let's start off with the dial

At this angle of lighting you can see the full grainy detail of the dial which I really like, didn't know of this until the watch was in my hands.

At other angles of lighting, the dial just appears to be a matte black

Here's a macro shot of the pig on the dial

Moving on to the engravings on the case back, I am not sure of how accurate this is compared to gen but I don't really bother about it either, I just find it kinda cool to look at sometimes. Engraving is decently deep and looks nice to me.

Here's the crown guard

Even though the gap looks like it's there, there isn't really any wobble on the 'trigger' so it's pretty good in my opinion

Here's the buckle

Pretty sure the engraving isn't deep enough compared to gen (?) someone correct me on that if I'm wrong but I'm not really concerned about that either.

Lastly the rep Asso strap, I was surprised by the quality of this strap compared to those that came on the IWC that I ordered. It's of pretty decent quality for a rep strap and of decent thickness as well.

Sorry if some of the pictures aren't that great, all of these are taken from my phones camera.

All in all, I'm a very happy man with this purchase. It was more than what I expected for my first PAM and it won't be going anywhere from my collection anytime soon!

EDIT: Forgot the wrist shot so here it is on my small 6.75" wrists

It's actually not my first rep but rather my first PAM :) pretty sure it's a super-rep as well, I read the long review on this and honestly there's not much between this and gen. Nice piece you have there :)

It's 44mm so should suit even small wrists. Or do you mean you have really large wrists and would it look too small?

I have 8" wrists, so wondering if the strap will be long enough and whether this will look ok?

I have a 6.75" wrist but this wears perfectly at the smallest setting on the strap. With 8" I'm honestly not sure if the strap is long enough. There are larger Pams though, this 44mm I find actually wears smaller and with 8" wrists I'd reckon you can get something like a 46mm with no problem

IIRC, an officemate of mine has a 7.5" wrist at least and the standard size strap on the PAM312 (rep) fit him on the last hole. Needless to say, very worrisome (as the strap may break eventually as these are like cardboard) not to mention it was cutting off some circulation. :lmao: So he bought some aftermarket straps which allowed his wrist to breathe.

I just measured the distance of the strap and it seems from the first to the last hole distance is about 1.5" so it would probably fit somewhere around 8" but it would be at the last hole (?)

I'm not sure since I don't have anyone around with 8" wrists but aftermarket straps for Panerais are abundant so I wouldn't worry about that! If you have to get a new one.

This strap is actually pretty nice the suede feels nice and soft and the strap is pretty thick. Doesn't feel flimsy or plastic-y to me.

Irregardless of the rep you buy the length of the rep strap will invariably be 115/75. So big wristed folk (or those who prefer to have long tails on their straps) should really plan on buying aftermarket, usually at the same time you buy the watch. :)

Anyone have an issue with this version running properly? I will wind it and it will run for a few hours and stop. If I shake my wrist a bit, it starts again. Sometimes that doent work and I have to change the time and that will get it going again. Would be interested if anyone had a fix. Thx

Since you have mentioned changing the time restarts the watch- either the minute hand is colliding with the seconds or hour hand- or internally something is lodged in the gears...The only way is to open it up and start checking.
