Just wanted to post some pics of this watch I just got at almost 1/2 the cost of the KW!

I think has mainly KW parts aside from the movement.

Only complain is CG is not so refine buy minor mods will fix it. Movement is undecorated but no worries for a closed caseback and keeps time well!

I read the Pam guide and found it matches KW parts a lot from crystal to case.

For the price ... Can't complain ! Now to find a nice strap!

Forgot to say 1/2 the cost is for a brand new KW watch not a M2M sale :)

I don't see these as reps of reps. I think its a mistake to assume one factory is making all their parts in house. Great looking 411 btw, I have.one coming myself.

For the price, these are no brainers. I dont know if the pam gurus here would classify them as super reps but with a closed case back hiding that undecorated movement, they are a darn good bang for your buck.

This is already said many times in this forum and others
The parts are from KW without doubts
Maybe the finish is not the same as a "real" KW (you can see the pic of inner lugs), and obviously movement are not the same

At such price a true bargain !!

No rep of the rep IMO, jaut a rep using parts of a Super rep and some of them not perfectly finished, although very good too.
A rep of the rep would not have the lug screws holes bad placed like KW IMO

And heck, they are inexpensive enough to drop an eta into and still be at the cost of a noob or kw rep with asian movement.
At least, that's my plan lol.

Also the CG lever is KW without doubt ;)

As brown as the 390. Gen is black ?

Yes, boutiques are black

Ale, are you sure? Take a good look at those lugs. The step down between the edge
of the case and the top of the lug looks very long. The lugs profile looks very narrow and almost pointy and the screw hole placement is very close to the outside edge.

I have become a details junky when it comes to lug shape and those lugs don't look like KW to me

Unless this is a poorly finished KW case where the factory has removed too much material from the lugs?

Grim, I have got the data from the thread started in RG:
http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=226512
In this thread you can see pics much more clear.

I have had the opportunity of study during months many KW cases and pics when the review of Luminor cases in cooperation with Klockis. And big step down, narrow lug profile and the placement of holes of lugs crews are precisely typical details of KW cases. Please see the pics in the review.
The holes are not really outside, they are just placed much higher and then they seems being outwards.
Besides CG, CG Pin, the lever typical KW detached form the case and with exact KW profile, Very Slim Crown, the bevelled of crystal, the bezel profile...

Of course the finish is not actually KW and the edges have worse polishing, even maybe they are the worse cases and maybe rejected by a first QC or prototypes trying to get more accurate lugs, but the base is clearly KW based for me.

See a pic from RG of the cheap reps from Sead. See the uneven polished surfaces and edges unlike the "real " KW.

See pics from cases review- look at the big step and the profile of the lug

See below the big step down again in comparison to the gen

See below the big step down commented in the review in comparison with Noob reps

Therefore, for me, a case-set KW based, with worse polishing and finish, and maybe units rejected, prototypes or a bit modified for some reasons.

Regarding dial inscriptions and lume application are also typical KW IMO
Crown stem is KW too
Crown tube structure seems KW too
Even the sharp angles of the buckle seem KW

Too many coincidences...

I was really thrown off by the finish and screw hole placement. I agree that these could be KW case "blanks" that have been poorly finished.

the odd hole placement really makes the lug look different.
