PAM 40mm, where to get? Davidsen!!!!! Help

Hello Everybody,

I love PAM a lot, got a 005 a PVD 009 from DS, a Ti, and a Radiomir.

Now, before buying a GMT or Chrono, I'd like to buy a 40mm Auto Panerai. Better if it is a brushed steel. It can be a GMT also.

Where I can get a very good one?

IMHO, the Lumidor Mariner 40mm is probably the closest to the gen. After looking at and studying gens and the reps available, I ordered a 051 from Joshua and am very pleased with it. Although the description on his site does not indiacate that the 7750 is the new 28,800 model, he did confirm that it indeed is the new 7750. This watch runs smooth as silk and has no rotor noise so, my concerns about the 7750 movements are somewhat surprressed. I think that if you have a look at the 40mm Mariner, you will agree that it is the one to buy.

my only problem is there's limited number of straps available for the 048 - most have to be custom

it is a great watch. What is the strap size, lug width, etc.?
Is it really difficult to get different straps for this watch?

I would love a 40mm PAM, but the date mag and font are the biggest problem. Not even close to correct. Unless they have changed this and I am unaware.......

But wait untill that new work done on the ultimate Arktos gets updated on the other pams with date and cyclops, hopefully sooner than later, I'd love to get me a 028 and a 104 once this date font/mag problem is upgraded.....

lugWidth of 22mm. If you've got small wrists like me (6 inches), then a custom strap is nice. i have mine measuered to 110/65 i believe. Standard is 120/75 (120mm length strap/75mm lenth strap (buckle side))

denise is right. The biggest thing that needs ironing out on the 40mm pam is the datefont. otherwise, she's close to gen. maybe some AR on it...

still... LOVE my 40mm. want to push to 44 now, maybe a 177 or 111 in the future.

Ironically, there were a number of 48s made a few years back that had the correct datewheel font. I know, I have one. The cyclops was still lousy, but the font was perfect. Unfortunately, the rep factories have since reverted back to the faded, skinny font.

FYI, the recent batch of PAM048 or 050 may not be as good as the old school batch in term of accuracy towards the gen.

No one offer modded 40mm PAMs but you can do the mod yourself.

To get sarted

1.) Get a PAM048/050 from any dealers
2.) Get a A7750 pam date wheel from lello at RWG
3.) Engage ziggy in you are in US or europe for the reluming and date wheel transplant
4.) Viola.... a damn close PAM048 awaits you

Nope, from EddieLee, but it's the same damn watch thought eddielee would have correct DATEfont because of pics... but my bad, it was just hte darn pics that made it look bold
