What thoughts? Great watch, grab it! Just don't forget, it's 47mm.
It's available from any dealer for a few weeks already. I'm waiting for mine from TrueTime168.

lol, I'm fine with the bigger watches. Just curious about the accuracy (other than the incabloc and all that),

It's not in ale's guide..... yet. ;)

This is a no carefully built replica using "old" decorated movements
Of course the movement is nice but inaccurate
Dial inscription is wrong and Crown tube base special of this watch is missing
Reep Geek is out now but you can read the thread about this watch in Puretime Section. Angus even admit that is not a replica made to be a Super.
The serial number in movement is not admissible either.

Not advisable purchase
I have not had yet time to include it in PAM GUIDE

Those Minerva movements are cool, but the engravings are atrocious. The case is actually pretty decent -- aside from some contour miscues, I'd be confident wearing it. The mismatched dial / hand lume is a bit irksome for me, but that's a simple fix.

The 399 is definitely on my list, but the $378 for it isn't necessarily burning through my pocket haha.

I bought one a few weeks ago and love it, excellent wrist presence. Ignore the anal complaints about the movement, they almost prevented me from buying it and I'm glad now I didn't listen to the naysayers.

In real life all of the issues fade to zero, gorgeous watch. Makes me wish they'd rep the somewhat similar 422 now also, would love to add it!

Hi friend
You surely have got a nice and good watch. It is really gorgeous.
I have no doubts about that.

But we are here talking about accurate replicas just like gen.
This is the purpose of this PAM Section and every Brand Section in this forum.
This is a hooby and the main goal of this hobby is to get replicas as similar as gen as possible. Not to get nice watches.
No need of reviews or guides to buy nice watches, you can get a nice watch following your taste.

You should not say "Ignore the anal complaints...." because many people here are looking for these anal complaints and many members are analyzing flaws to share them here. You are just also IGNORING these interesting jobs.
Anyway if you have got this watch and you are happy with it, ENJOY your watch and be more happy.

Or are you just regretful for the inaccurate rep purchase and want to justify it?
I hope this is not the case and you are really enjoying your awesome replica WATCH.

Please don't get bothered for above comments you have done exactly the same with our works.

Ale, I hear you, and definitely agree with some of your feelings for sure. To me the original poster wants our "thoughts" though, not just a highly critical super-rep analysis.

He wants our overall opinions of living with it, and as one of the few owners of the watch on this board who has enjoyed it, I feel it definitely gets an unfair bad rap in every single thread about it due to a few slight flaws...which are similar to flaws that get overlooked on the more popular models on the board.

I would argue that even the holy 111 super-rep, which has several movement flaws, gets big love in every thread always despite those flaws...yet in every 399 thread the negativity comes out in force, right away within three posts, from people who have never seen or held or owned the watch.

RWI member cwazy also feels the same way as a 399 owner himself, it just seems that the anti-399 sentiment in every thread on the watch is unjustified versus reality to those of us who have had a chance to spend time with it, and for whatever reason this watch is held to a higher standard versus other more popular watches that get a free pass.

I will say for the original poster again that my thoughts are that this is an excellent rep, with excellent wrist presence, and a gorgeous look that attracts crazy attention. It's just my opinion, but you asked for opinions, thus my response.

Money and cost has nothing to do with my analysis here, I can't comment on whether it's a value or not for the price, because to me all reps are super cheap versus the gens I used to collect.

They're all a bargain to me really, regardless if they're $200 or $600. There isn't much of a difference between those two prices from my view because the value for quality reps is all high. I'm just happy that the rep industry has gotten so good the last few years, we can all enjoy collecting and wearing so many different great models. :)

Well said Mako -- on the grand scale of things, we are arguing about very miniscule details. I have the Minerva movement in my 322 and that alone is worth the price -- its gorgeous. Ditto on the changes in the rep industry over the past few years. I remember buying my first in Shanghai in about 2005. The movement was mostly plastic with a pathetic tin rotor. We are all lucky the makers have come such a long way!

Just from my own analysis, I think the problem people have with the 399 is the same one they have with the 322 or any other non-mainstream PAM. There are not a lot in the market and anyone who's worth they're salt can make the tells. I love telling people some of my pieces are replicas -- its a great conversation topic and can actually earn you some respect in circles where wearing a $10k or over watch is considered unseemly.

A Pam without the crown guard seem to me something is lacking and makes it just like the next watch...one reason I like Pam because of its chunky CG and its recognizable even from 20ft. away...but that's just me.

Nevertheless, this is nothing less of a beauty.
