I have a Zf version of Pam 389 and would like opinions regarding the movement/power reserve

i am wearing watch daily but have to manual wind approx 6 times to get it going every morning and it stops after about an hour when I take it off

Keeps perfect time otherwise but other automatic watches I have start when I pick them up and last through the night

its not a major problem but is this normal /expected or have I got a poor one?

That is not normal. Automatic watches should keep the power reserve for longer than an hour, at least overnight from my experience. Manual winding every day may have a negative impact on the gears. I would suggest having the watch looked at.

Thanks, have you heard of this problem before or have any idea of the solution? Do you think it will require lubrication as I've heard that some may need this as the movement can sometimes be too dry

ive only had the watch a few months so I will ask seller also

i appreciate any advice members can provide

Find someone who will clean and lube it for you. That's all it needs. My 389 PR is about 36hrs.

thanks for the info, I'm not sure about the movement being 7750, just that it's the new clone movement that I thought was the best available. it looks like a service and lubrication may be the answer but I will now need to find someone who will be prepared to do this as I'm not sure i want to send it back to the factory. Any suggestions as I see from forum that the well respected repairer in UK has stopped taking jobs.

Wow! thank you so much for sending me this info, I think the movement will be Asian 7750 so I will try to track down a local watch smith and alert him Your help is greatly appreciated, I'm thinking that I may opt for a manual wind next time! or am I just unlucky on this occasion?

the small stop click part compared to ETA looks very flimsy and of poor standard yet so important to the movement so you would think it would be better

just a note to say thanks for the advice. I got a local watchsmith to have a look and the rotor was sticking, a little lubrication has done the trick and power reserve now lasts through till morning, so I'm delighted
