Pam 388 vs 380

I have the 380 and think it is amazing.. I like the closed CB. The Paner ai issue is not that huge.. But, now this 388 comes out and I am torn.. If you had to have one what would it be?

Well you can't go wrong with most of KW's stuff. Including the 88. It kinda comes down to your preference on the case back, and the crew you hang out with. If you like open case backs and you hang w a bunch of people who own gens, maybe the 88 would be better or...... If you were buying one for the first time, 88. But no need to rush out and buy the 88, enjoy what you have

I would pick the 380 simply because I personally don't like a date window on a watch with that kind of case. I don't know why, I just feel that it shouldn't be there.

Depends how important the date window is to you.

I like having the date. I've been wearing the kw359 over my 288 as a result.

I prefer the painted dial and simple look of the 380 but the font bugs me. 388 looks like it might be a better rep.

Many people don't admit date in a Radiomir, and this is respectable mainly if you are a purist
If this is your case you can't go to 388
If you cannot admit an inaccurate movement you cannot go to PAM 388 either.

PAM 388 is more warm than 380 have a more smooth dial with less contrasted colours. White is not completely white and even black is not completely black.
From two-three meters both would be almost the same.

Obviously KW PAM 388 has better finish and appearance and maybe better crystal.
The movement is an obvious flaw but it is really nice and well finished and the always moving rotor doesn't allow to see easily the flaws

Of course more people will say than KW is a gen than the PAM 380
PAM 388 has a strong gen-like feel
Regarding flaws you have a little bit small date fonts and a fatter lume in hands

FYI. I have not yet a PAM 380 and I will buy a PAM 388 and a 505 asap

Personally, i wish for simple dial on Rads like 183/210. So im still holding my horse on these rads for now.

But if i hv to choose between the two, it'd be 380 now coz auto 388 would be thicker on my wrist and my perception on Rads is thin and elegant.

I don't mind the thickness, but I agree this is a good point to bear in mind about these watches
