PAM 388 - Thumbs Up!

I recently purchased a 388 replica from a site that is not listed as a TD here, but no issues. Good communication and watch arrived in 3 weeks to USA.

This rep was only $120 USD, it has some questionable differences from a gen, but it’s still beautiful, and I’ve been tracking its timekeeping with an app for the past week and today it came in at -5.2sec.

There was no info on the type of movement from the dealers site so not sure on the make, Asian obviously.

Differences:
-sides of case do not come to fine points at the corners
-case back is not correct in that Firenze 1890 is not present
-font of “Officine Panerai” on back looks wonky.
-little circle thingy next to crown
-rotor is noisy

All that aside the dial is perfect, strap is actually of some quality, and it keeps great time!

I have a PAM1616 coming in from Intime so I’m excited to see the difference between a ~$400 rep compared to the $120 rep.

All in all I’m pleased with this purchase

I can see issues on the dial, date window, date font, lume colour, hands etc etc, movement, case shape, imho this a pretty bad rep.

Agree, here are some pics of mine. It's a VSF v2 rep, which is a really good rep imho, but it cost about $350

Wow yes, I can see the flaws. Meh, when it first arrived I wanted to get upset but that’s what I get for not coming here first.

That's the spirit! You live and you learn. Now prepare to be amazed when an actual replica arrives at your doorstep. IMHO, that watch is what we would categorize as fakes because they are nowhere near the genuine watch.
