I bought the PAM 382 VSF V2, with the "P.9000 Super Clone V2" from puretime at July 2018. I used it for some time and decided to service it and change all gaskets / test it's water resistance rating, my watchsmith has a really long wait list, so i had to wait 3 months for him to finally start working on my watch (i live in Brazil and it's really hard to find watchsmiths, even harder to find those that know what they are doing).

Today he sent me the first photos of the disassembly of the movement and a short video, he said he found dust, metal residues and lots of finger prints / skin inside the movement, but he took the photos on his phone, so they are low quality. He also said that there was hardly any oil.

Im posting the pictures bellow, maybe it could help someone... I remember that when i was searching about the P9000 clone, before buying my piece on puretime, there was almost no information on it that i could find.

Interesting trigo thanks for sharing.
I have some good friends in Sao Paulo that could use your WS skills.
Would you mind sharing his contacts with me, as well as his pricing info?
Cheers!

I live in Sao Paulo too, and i could not find anyone trustable here, most shops are sketchy, dirty and doesn't have the proper tools / oils. My watchsmith lives in Minas Gerais, i found him by accident on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UColstsIwQ9JTWyW7ozVsi6Q/videos

He is the best that i was able to find in Brazil, his name is Ezequias and you can call him in WhatsApp +55 31 988373049. His prices are low too, servicing my movement and changing all gaskets + testing to 10 ATM cost me R$ 150,00 or about 40 USD, compared to most prices that i see from USA or Europe that's a steal.

I never saw a service for 40usd :). It’s close to the price for a regulation here in Eu.

I didnt test yet the second one i just bought and received, but my first 382 v2 was very accurate.

the minimal wage in Brazil is R$ 998,00 reais, about 270 USD (per month), usually labor services are cheaper here. My 382 was keeping good time too, i just want to be able to swim with it in the ocean and just paid for servicing together with the waterproofing.

I just moved to Cairo, Egypt, this week. I’ll be here for the next years. With me came my watch collection, of course. I desperately need somebody who can service and pressure test at least some of them, so I can go swimming.
Any recommendation for a watch smith, maybe even in Zamalek, would be highly appreciated.

I don't know how Egypts handles customs, but if it's safe to send/receive reps, i would send it to somebody from RWI that lives in europe by mail. Brazil's customs are crazy some times, thats why i had to source someone local.

Interesting. I'm in the states, and I've been looking for someone to fix my VSF movement that's in my Pam 508. Maybe this guy might be my savior! Anyone have someone in the states that services these types of movements?

I wonder if it is safe to handwind this movement...

Can anyone comment please whether the P9000 VSF clone movement has bi directional winding or not? I just received a VSF V2 PAM382 and the rotor is free spinning in one direction so need to know if this is normal or a reversing wheel defect. Many thanks

These share 7750 components and function, it should be (the rotor) easier to rotate in one, but technically wind in both directions. The mainspring should wind in one.

And safe to hand wind.

Hi @Seadwellermike thank you for taking the time to reply. It's a relief to know this is normal. I didn't realise it is still based on A7750 as I'd seen a post saying the opposite whilst researching this : https://forum.replica-watch.info/threads/vsf-p9000-or-p9001-v2-movement-reliability.6789544/page-2 . Others have said it's A7750 based. I guess it shows if you research enough you can find any answer. It does seem my watch is winding effectively and that's what matters - a relief as I would hate to have to send it back.

The VSF clone P.9001/9010 shares the balance, and wheel train, and main plate with a 7750, as is the balance cock and a few parts of the auto wind. I know this by actually taking two down, not anecdotally. 👍🏻

Perfect, thank you so much. Very reassuring to hear your hands on experience. Meanwhile I was also running an experiment which concludes the watch self winds really well. I allowed it to completely run down at the weekend, then without winding at all using the crown, just relying on the self winding mechanism, wore it from 9am-7pm Monday and it started up by itself. It was still running next morning, I then only wore it for 2 hours Tuesday morning and then took it off. I'm pleased to see it is still running and keeping good time a day later on Wednesday morning, so overall from just 12 hours wearing and zero crown winding it has run happily for 48 hours.

Thanks to your advice and others. Without which, I would've probably needlessly sent a perfectly good watch back as I haven't witnessed this type of winding mechanism before. Very much appreciated.
