What are peoples thought on this? Will it be repped? Is it already being repped?

I like the base dial 47mm 1950 style. I even like the plexi crystal. I'm not sure I'm a fan of the "vintage look" lume, though. :thinking:

I certainly hope so! Should be pretty easy, except for the movement. DSN could build you one right now out of existing parts, except the dial would be a little more "vintage" - the "Luminor Panerai" text would be engraved and hand painted and his current 47mm plexi crystal is the wrong shape. That and he'd have to have his case maker polish up the Fiddy case.

All in all, it would be much simpler than some of the better reps that are coming out right now. If it was a solid caseback, it'd be dead simple.

The 372 is a totally new and redesigned case with long thin lugs and rounder more curved case compared to a 1950 it's a big difference, there is some similarities to the 1950 and also a Rad case it's a mix between the two cases. Building a rep will not be easy unless someone builds a new case. There is already many comparison pictures floating around.

Ah, so it is. To be honest, since I knew I wouldn't be able to afford the $10K price of entry, I didn't pay too much attention to the description and just had a fast glance at the pics. You can see the more rounded sides very clearly if you pay attention. Oops!

I really like a lot of the new lineup, but Panerai is VERY quickly pricing me out of being able to afford anything...

I do, too. With a closed caseback you can have a Quartz watch with no-one noticing.

Then get a Fiddy or 217. The case shape isn't that revolutionary, IMO.

The gen? It has the new Calibre P.3000 in-house manual wind movement with 3-day power reserve.
