PAM 372 Scratched Plexi Crystal

So after being extremely careful with my 372 over the last two years I accidentally bumped into a shelf on the way out of a store and this happened.

It's a fairly deep scratch. When I run my fingernail against it, it actually catches on the scratch. So I don't think it's a "toothpaste" fix.

Outside of having the damn thing replaced (or sell it for cheap to someone who has time to fix it), what options do I have?

You can try the brushing the whole thing and replacing with cape cod and little buff. Is that doesn't work out. You can order a Plexi from Homage forums to have it swapped by your local watch smith for not too much dough. Worst case scenario, You can sell it on the forums as is for a price none can refuse, add a bit more to grab a new one. Totally up to you. AT the end of the day, a watch that's 2 yrs old imho unless you've done any mods is going to need servicing soon so having sold that & buying that is going to make more sense imo.

Have you tried the inexpensive Polywatch? It's a bit more potent than toothpaste in rubbing off scratches on plexi. Cape cod really only works on metal so I don't think it will be effective.

They should really offer a 372 with Sapphire glass. I know its not accurate but the maintenance on plexy sucks badly especially when something like this happens.

Dun think 372 plexi can be found easily. I strip one apart n it's not the usual replacement. Check with TDs whether they have the replacement or not. If not u can get a generic size plexi n gs glue it.

Ugh I barely have enough time for this as well.
Polywatch will have to be ordered, and I don't own a dremel so I would have to buy or borrow one.
I'm just gonna offload it for cheap and buy something else.
Thanks for everyone's input.

For plexy, if no plywatch available neither Dremel, you can always try "aladdin-magic cotton", your hands ,and lot of patience.
Rub, rub, rub untill you feel the heat... do not stop :)
Repeat a few times and results will pop up !

DON'T DREMEL IT. If you dremel with too much friction the plexi will simply break in half. If you use a dremel, use it very slow, with very soft cloth like cape cod.

The 2015/2016 372s will have sapphire crystals as gen, so it wouldn't be inaccurate for TDs to offer so.

Oh really? That's news to me. Care to share the link with this bit of info (the sapphire on 2015/16 PAM372s)?

If the 372 comes with Sapphire I will buy one for sure. That is the only thing holding me back at the moment. I hope dealers release a sapphire version.
