I just received my PAM 360 from Hont and unfortunately it is DOA. I've tried tapping it and shaking as suggested on some other threads, but nothing. I also opened up the case back to check for any debris, hair, anything, but no luck there either. Any other ideas I could try while I await a response from Hont?

I appreciate any help you guys may offer.

Thanks,
Salgovey

Sorry to hear that - How did the watch look? I order one from Timeshop but ended up returning it due to infamous purple tint.

Do you know that PAM 360 is fitted with a manual winding movement ????

And you must to wind it manually ?????

Turn the crown about 40 times

Isn't the 360 the one you turn the key and it starts up!?:lol1:

In all seriousness, give the balance wheel a VERY gentle spin to see if it will start that way. That will at least allow you to eliminate issues.

Yes, I know it has an Asian 6497 movement. I wound the crown to the point where I felt a little resistance and stopped. Got nothing so I went through the steps mentioned above as suggested by other threads.

Thanks,
SG

Yes, tried it, but still nothing...

Purple as in the AR coating or DLC? I do not see any purple tint on either. I'm happy with the watch overall other than the fact that it's not working at the moment. Will probably swap out the strap for something a little more beefy.

No, they seem to be fine. I tried moving them to different positions on the face, but same result. Thanks for all the tips so far!

I agree.

BUT try the last checking.
Look at the micrometric screw of the Swan Neck, check if it is in its place.
If the micrometric screw is loose could stop the movement.
If the micrometric screw is not in its place you can guess that !!! I know already about three cases.
If the micromedtric screw is correct in its place contact Hont urgently !!!

Ale.

The micrometric screw is in place, however it is not making contact with the swan neck. There is definitely a gap between the swan neck and the end of the screw. Do you think this is the cause of the dead movement? What steps should I take to resolve this?

Thanks!!!

No my friend, this is a very usual flaw in a rep Swan Neck but it is not at all a problem for the work of the movement.
Read about that the Swan Neck threads Part I &II :

Definitively you must contact Hont asap.
