Hello all,

This morning I got a very pleasant surprise in my email inbox. Puretime responded to my PAM 359 inquiry! They have the 359 in stock currently. Needless to say, i went right over to their website and placed my order for the PAM 359 M V2 (Best Edition) on the Italian leather band.

Already, I'm contemplating sending the watch off to get super lume, AR coating on the crystal , CG mod and of course, ordering the SS bracelet. Before I get too far off into the mod zone however, does anyone think that a super lume mod will be necessary on the V2 best edition?

I've read that the current AR coating on the crystal "out of the box" could be better but what are everyone's lume experiences with the 359?

Thanks.

if i had to choose between re-luming or AR, i would definately go for AR first...the lume is decent but the AR definately needs an upgrade.

the 359 V2 is the best version, and you can certainly find it at PureTime

V2 is currently the best version. I have a V1 with updated date wheel. I've been holding out for a better rumored version. But who knows.

I had heard that the noob or H factory would be taking a stab at this model with possibly the first of a p.9000 movement replica.

I'll keep my ear to the grown concerning an updated 359.
Looking around now for places to get the AR replaced on the one I ordered.
I'm in California, any suggestions?

Poor AR is the only thing that really lets this one down. I have the original and its a lovely piece.

Any recommendation for AR in Europe (UK)

Hello Midge,

First off, I love this watch and look forward to wearing it almost every day. To answer your questions:

(how close to the gen?)
I personally can't tell the difference between my watch and the gen (pictures) of the 359 that I have collected over the past few months when comparing the case, face and leather band. Its a very good rep IMO. I got the V2 with the italian leather band from Puretime.

(What about the rear where you look through?)
There is a difference in two. You can see this when looking at Puretime's pics of the 359 v2 and actual gen photos.
Now my argument: I think that if you're going to take the rep 359 off every time someone asks about the watch, then yes, someone who knows the 359 should be able to tell the difference. Now I own a gen Rolex and I don't care who asks about it, I never take it off, period. I'd personally feel the same way had i paid over $6,000 for a gen Panerai. Simply put, I don't intend to take the rep off around anyone so the case back is a non-issue personally. That's just me though.

The PAM 359 V2 is really a nice watch though. I'm REALLY happy that I got it. I eventually will have it super-lumed and the CG stiffened by Vac. Others have suggested having the AR done by Vac as well but personally, the AR doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would.

Hope it helps!

J.
