Hi all,

I am currently looking for a PAM 356 for a gift, but looks like it is not a popular model here. I hardly see it come up in the members' sale section. I have read Ale's Pam reference guide and after looking around how much the TDs are selling for I feel that the price is over my budget. Any inputs by anyone who owns this rep about the quality or if anyone knows where I can get a decent price? I am looking to spend about $220 max. My friend likes the look (chronos on dial or something that is neither too plain nor too crowded on the face), but if anyone has other PAM alternatives I am all ears!

Thank you very much for the help.

i think there is a really good super rep chrono which is a radiomir case... i forget the number but its def in ALEs guide. Might be worth a look, but im not sure how much the TDs sell for.

Failing that DSN is a bit cheaper than noob or H fac in a lot of cases.... maybe you could check out his offerings.

i think don is referring to the 288K..that is a pretty nice watch as well..

@OP: Perhaps you might want to rethink your budget and raise it a little..you can search thru the sales threads but there is no guarantee you can find one in a hurry..

The Don was referring to a 288 indeed. That watch is over your budget aswell. All the chronos are more due to the movement.

Hi ceedd
The PAM 356 is not popular because I say in the GUIDE is a "dressing" and civilised version of a chrono.
Most people here are young and are looking for more "agressive" watches and when they want a chrono want a "real" chrono, not a smart chrono. This is just my opinion.
But all is said in the GUIDE
Concerning price, if you like a Good a real chrono you must raise a bit your budget near 300$. Consult the Chronos in the GUIDE. In Section B they are ordered by types.
Try again the sales section.
Good luck
ALE

one last question, are the chrono hands for this rep any good?

Sorry I don't understand your question
In case that you mean if all chrono functions of this watch are working, the answer is: YES

The movement used in the rep is a fully functional chrono just like the gen. It is copied very well right down to the rotor engraving.

in the meantime, spend some time reading up on the information that has been so painstakingly compiled..

also have a look around the Watch sales thread for some good bargains that might come up to fit your budget and location..

:)

Will do as advised. I have some watches that I am going to sell to fund the 356 or to trade...still thinking which ones to let go
