I'm looking to pick up a pre owned gen 351. How do the 351 reps compare? Is it a more desirable piece? I have 2 Pam reps and they're extremely nice so I'm a bit weary of a gen piece BUT I've never held a gen Pam. I can pick it up for a reasonable price right now but don't have long. Any input is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

The previously released PAM351 reps have been nicely made, with the latest version released just last April having the P.9000 clone movement with the balance wheel @9. The only remaining step would be to upgrade to an anticipated V2 P.9000 movement but so far if you're after the look, then the latest PAM351 rep is a great rep, front and back.

Well damn.. now I'm conflicted. Maybe I should've just stuck with my original plan to buy an gen omega PO for versatility. The Pam reps are just so good man.. but the price on the 351 is very hard to pass up. Maybe I'll buy both, go broke and end up divorced living out of my car but have some mighty fine time pieces [emoji2]

Well if you get both, and then wait a bit for the PAM351 to get the V2 P.9000 and then get that, you can sell the gen PAM351 at the same price (since you said the price was too good to pass up, I'm sure a few months won't affect the price). After that, maybe you can move back in. :lmao:

Haha this is all very true. I don't think I can pass up the Pam so I know I'll be buying that. As for the PO I can find them much cheaper than the Pam so it's not such a dire piece.

Any idea whether the V2 P9000 would be released? Or should I just get the current version?

If you want and can get a Gen I say do it. I’ve been in the rep game for awhile now and I love reps. I feel the reps give you a chance to see what you like and what you don’t without breaking the bank.

I currently own no reps and all gens now. I wore reps and if I fell in love with that particular model I buy the Gen.

Most wont agree with me but that’s how I do it.

does anyone know if there are any TDs carrying the PAM 351? I've been trying to hunt one down for a while and every TD i've tried ends up coming back saying they can't source it right now. i want that tobacco dial!!!

Did you ask all the TDs? Because your premise is confusing. After being told by the TDs directly that there is none to be had, you're asking if someone else if they know indirectly that the TD has it?
