PAM 351 vs 390 - Help make up my mind!!

OK guys, I just placed an order with Tony but am still waiting on hearing back from him on payment info.

I am just wondering which you guys would pick if you were in my situation. My only gripe with the 390 is there is no seconds and Im not a base-head!

My only other PAM is my 192 Tantalium which is also a Ti case - but no date (I like having a date but its not a dealbreaker).

Basically - which would you choose?? Ill leave this poll up and see what you guys think in the morning - I still havent payed Tony yet so I dont think itll be an issue to change my order.

For me 390 for now just because it's better made for the moment. But if a new version of the 351 comes out it can be another story !

Yeah, im starting to think thats the best idea (to go with the latest & greatest).

Also, im hoping the 390 will look like more of a watch and less like a clock on my wrist :facepalm:

Im super indecisive it is today; Im going to go ahead and OK the 390. Continue the discussion if you all wish (I think I might eventually pick up one if I can get a good deal on a used 351)

Do you already own a Pam? If you don't then go with the 390, the first Pam in each collection should be manual and with a 'Bettarini' case, in my opinion.
If you already have a Pam with a 'Bettarini' case maybe you want another one, '1950' case really have a different feeling on the wrist. But you might just want a different looking watch.
You seem to like Ti watch as you 3rd choice is 192 (the rep is in Titanium, not in Tantalium). Then you must go with the 351. I have owned a 359 before the 351 and could not wear it as it was too heavy, but the 351 gets a maximum of wrist time, I'm a big fan of Ti Pam.
One is auto the other not...
As you stated one has date, not the other...

You should definitely do a photoshoot with the two watches (so others can get a better feel for what shade each watch is)!

I already have the 192 so I am aware of the awesomeness of TI - itching to get another PAM!

Paid Tony last night and I am just awaiting QC pics before shipment (with luck it will get out before the weekend)! :lol:

Now I will have to decide if I want an 024A or a 243 for my NEXT watch (when I can afford it in never months) :facepalm: :facepalm: :maty:

Consensus seems pretty strong for the 390. I am really hoping H factory picks up on the success of this Tobacco dial and makes an updated 351 - seems to be a pretty popular rep.
Its a definite winner for me; with no date mag, 1950s case, and the TI/Gold/Tobacco combo looks stunning!!!

If I have the opportunity (and can afford it), I will definitely pick one up.
Then Relume + AR and it will be looking HOT

Recently received my PAM390. Love it. Certainly my favorite Panerai now. After you see the dial/hands of the 390, other PAMs will look sterile.

I personally got the PAM 111 N.
I love the look of the PAM390 but not having a moving sec hand would drive me nuts.
I wouldn't know if the watch was working or broken or dead or needed to be wound.

There is nothing more annoying than looking at your watch and being mislead with the wrong time because the power reserve ran out and it died, especially with manual winds.
There is no way to tell without a second hand ... just my pet peeve.

The 351 has some problems. It will be my 2nd PAM when the problems get fixed.

390 for sure, it has better movement and overall fit and finish. But as ericb196 said, if the 351 comes out with another "improved" version, then it will be another poll for it...

Sent tony an email approving the watch. I cant see any flaws that would really prevent me from buying it - looks almost all good to me (CG is definitely in need of some modding though).

Now, we play the waiting game....

And I thought it was just me looking at my own photos over and over again, lol, trust me u will love it, and the straps that good I've been wearing it more than my cheap Ass strap.
