*BUMP* I want one! But there seem to be so many versions, none of them very accurate. The colours of faces, hands and indices are all over the shop. Maybe there is one out there which looks convincing 'in the metal' under natural light?

Heck, Perfect Clones lists FIVE versions. How can the market support so many? I bet hardly anyone takes the plunge and actually BUYS one. I reckon most people would class it as a watch to talk about, but not to wear.

The last attempt by any factory was in 2011. The main issue I see is with the crystal which is domed instead of raised like the gen.

The thing which puzzles me is that all the five+ rep versions have hands/indices which are orangey-brown or blue. But the gen reissue has paper-white hands/indices. None of the reps make an attempt at that colour. I don't get it. What am I missing?

The gen:

Simple supply and demand. The factories won't invest in making a rep where interest is very little.

There were two releases with one modern and vintage with differing lume. And a base dial (which is a fantasy). But they all used the same case and domed crystal. The second release was probably done just to use up the left over cases from the first one.

So do you reckon they made far too many cases?

This watch must be very prone to CAR - people are intrigued by its oddness, they buy it and only wear it once. Only 100 of the gen were made but there are 6 at chrono24.

Factories typically make a run for any specific model. Whatever's unsold may just have had a dial update.

By the way the PAM341 was a limited edition of 500 pieces. I've not read about any model that did not finish its production run but at the very least I've seen a caseback serial above 100 so I'm sure OP at least made more than 100.
