If you saw it on KW's website first, it's most likely a KW creation. ZFactory offerings typically come out of puretime due to their strong collaboration.
seems like addition of GMT module forced KW to introduce some unwanted changes in dial construction. With their 351 you don't see "white" edges of underlying dial layer when observing edges of date window. With this version of 320 you see it just jumping out to you - not like 351, not like gen 320.
Hopefully that is just a sample he used... as that white is in the dial like you said but is more about the treatment or lack of it after cutting the DW...
It is worth pointing out to him though to see if it is just that and not a consisitent issue...
