I have been looking for a pam312 the past few months and I
Read all the threads that I could find on the forum.
there is even a thread started last year that is 23 pages long right after
the first release where ALE was waiting for his watch in order to write
up his own thoughts about the watch, but at the end I could not find any review on the watch.

Through the discussions since now members commented on the V1 model A7775 and the V2 seagull
ST2555 but nobody commended anything on the V3 improved movement,as advertised.
there are no photos of the V3 watch on KW website in order to see any improvements on the movement.is it just the printings ?

Can the experts please lets us know the improvements in movement in the V3,
and also the members that have already bought any of the 3 versions, what are their comments and which is the most reliable on this model because I have read that many watches DOA especially at beginning
and any problems that they have faced with any of the 3 models

thanks,looking forward to your answers
Kyriacos

I have a v1, you can find my short review in my sig, if I recall correctly there is also a link to an interesting review and discussion started by set2374 there.
V3 has the new decorated a7750 with inverted balance cock.
V2 has the seagull movement and is cheaper and, as many say, more reliable.
All have inaccurate movement due to the placing of the balance wheel.

Dial, case, CG and caseback are the same afaik, so only difference is in the movement.

My advice is to get a v2 and save a few bucks for a nice strap, unless the inverted balance cock is an important feature for you. :)

The only difference between KW versions is the decorated movement.

All decorated movements are inaccurate since the balance wheel is wrongly placed. Gen is placed @7 whereas decorated A7750 based are @11 and Seagull is @6.
Besides, A7750 first versions and Seagull have inverted layout and inscriptions.
Last version A7750 NON-inverted layout are more accurate regarding layout but you cannot avoid to have the balance wheel @11. In PAM GUIDE you can see some comparison pics

Up to you

Also the seagull movement is lower beat than the a7750, correct? I think a7750 is more visually more fluid, even visible from the small seconds hand.

It is impossible to realize that with such small second hand

It would be good to know, the people that have bought the A7750 do they face the problem with the
Minute hand wobbling?
I believe this is not the case with the ST2555
What other problems do buyers face with either of the 2 movements?
For example we have reports that the stem on the ST2555 broke while winding etc

Can you give us some more details on your strap? ;)

Also i would like to ask ALE and Kilo,

Minute hand wobbling is not a problem of A7750 is for A7753 and is is referred to the minute counter hand of the chrono.
Since we are not talking about A7753 and we have no chrono minute counter hand, there will not be problem in PAM 312

You will hear a lot of problems when you are reading about reps and rep movements, because nobody can assure the quality of such a rep watches.
You have to assume some risk when you are buying a rep and even when the life of the rep.
There is no perfect rep watch or movement (not even gens)
You will be studying and learning more and more to see that you will need to take some risk
Indeed you will pay 200-400USD instead of 5000-15000 USD.
What do you want to expect ??
Or even better: What CAN you expect ??

ALE thanks for your response.
The reason i asked about the wobbling minute hand is that some people complaint of this issue in some threads after buying the watch.
I appreciate what you are saying, and what to expect from replicas.I have already bought more than 10 reps in the past few years, but I am new into Pams.
At the beginning i did not like them but in the past year i am attracted to certain models of Pams, especially the 312 as you can see :)

The strap is made from crocodile legs and it's one of Orloff "specialties" :)
You can check his work here:
http://orloff-straps.blogspot.it/
Or here

He makes great straps worth every penny you pay, and they're priced fairly :)

The CG lever has been hit and miss on my reps so far, some are tight and some loose, luckily none too lose.
The on the 312 is good enough.
I also suggest you tighten the screws on the CG once you receive your watch, they're often not completely secured.

Regarding the inscriprions, we can only cross our fingers :)
Imho it is not that big deal though, unless one of your friends has the same watch and you don't want to let him know you wear a rep :)

I'm interested on the pam312 too :)

Searched on tstime, intime and Puretime but can't seem to find KW V3. They do have this zf version though, are they the same?

Btw, just wanna double confirm, does the rep have the feature of adjusting time by the hour hand only without moving the minute hands, as per Gen?

I have the gen 312, am considering letting go of it once I buy this rep version. I've bought a couple of rep watches since joining RWI. Am in awe of the quality of the watches and I suspect my collection will just keep growing. Just makes me think why should I keep my gens when I can get such good quality rep watches [emoji14]

Be carefull because you could get a V2 with seagull or A7750 instead the new movement of V3 : KWP9000-V2 with non-inverted layout
