1. If you try to decide between the 2, which would you get?

2. Does getting BOTH seem redundant?

Did you get to try both 1950 case vs luminaries case?
they wear differently. The 1950 case( p9000 for 312) is top heavy and has 18 mm thickness .luminor case (411) is 15mm thick and lay flat on they wrist . 3mm is very noticable, I love love love 312 look but yet doesn't feel right on my 6.75" wrist . You can just get both and sell the one you enjoy less after too

I would get the 411 first and then the 312. IMO getting both wouldn't be redundant since they've got different case (Bettarini 411 vs. Luminor 1950 312) and an overall different feel/look (historic 411 vs. modern 312).

Either way you can't go wrong with either, good luck on your hunt !!

PAM 029 has Luminor Bettarini case very similar to PAM 411. This is another good choice .
Another good choice in the same way would be a PAM 088

I like the way the Bettarini case sits and love the hand-wind simplicity and reliability. Hands down 411.

I have both as my first PAM reps. The 411 sits more comfortably on the wrist but the lume of its sausage dial is not as impressive as that of 312.
