I just placed my first order with Ryan. Hopefully everything goes smoothly since I’ve seen a mixed bag of first time experiences on the forum. I was wondering if someone could tell me the strap size I would need if I want to order some additional straps. Thanks. I will try to post QC pictures on here for the expert opinion.

The lug width is 24mm, the buckle you receive with the watch is 22mm.

Ok. Thanks. Does it look weird to have a tapered strap like that?

That's the dimension of the straps that the gen Panerai watches come with so I'm sure it doesn't look weird. But I prefer my straps to be straight, so it depends on your personal taste how you want to populate your strap collection. Be advised to use a straight 24/24 strap you need to purchase a 24mm buckle.

Ok. I think you linked a strap thread for me a few days ago. Do most straps come separate from a buckle?

I received the QC pictures and was wondering if the experts here can tell me if there are any issues I’m missing. Thanks for taking the time.

QC pictures are generally not allowed to be posted except on specific threads or if there is a flaw that you found. We cannot have "here are my QCs, how do they look?" type of posts.

Yeah. I saw a thread about that after posting this. I didn’t realize that. Thanks for all your help with the issue.

Where did you wind up getting your new strap from?
And what did you go with?

I wound the crown the wrong way when setting the time. It started giving me kickback, so I stopped. After doing that, it didn’t start back up for a minute when the crown was pushed back in. I’m not sure if I’m being paranoid since I’ve heard people stress to be careful when setting the time and date, but now I’m worried I messed it up. It started again, but is there anything I should look for?

Move to time setting mode and move the minute hand until the time passes 3 AM, see if the date changes. If it does, then your watch is fine. If it does not, then try repeating the motion again (make sure it is on time setting mode always and does not go down to date setting mode which can be disastrous).

Thanks for the response. I’ll try that today.
