Hi guys, I'm soon purchasing my first but not only Panerai.

Thanks to ALE guide my first PAM will be a 299.

But what is the Biggest difference between pam299 N-series and o-series, which justifies the price for the n-series to be between 100-130$ more expensive. I have found both watches at TDs as toro, perfect clones.. and others as hont etc.. the same everywhere!

And the descriptions between the models are identical.
Usually it would be more logical for me to pay more for the O-series than the N-series, since they both are super reps..

Thx guys, looking forward to your responses,
/F

It would be the age of the ad. The PAM299N was released in 2012, the PAM299O was released 2-3 years later. Since TDs don't edit each and every ad on their website, old prices would still be up. In fact, you might not even be able to get a PAM299N even if you wanted to pay more for it.

Thx for the reply Mysterio.. you're probably right, but it seems quite odd that every TD has made that "tiny" little mistake and forgot to update their site on that version.

But it feels better now after your comment.. hopefully another person can confirm.

Question to all: Are your experiences good with the response time from the TDs? I've written mail to three TDs for more than 48h ago and still haven't received an answer to my questions?

It's not odd that all TDs have that issue. That's why not all TDs have websites. It's a pain to always to have to update. That's also why it's best to contact the TDs once you've picked out a particular watch to buy, so they can get back to you on the actual and current cost.

As for your second question, you probably need to read more. This is the weekend. Faster responses aren't expected during this time. Patience is the name of the game and clearly you need to learn it.

You might not even be able to get a Pam299, a couple of months ago I remember reading it wasn't available anymore, but I'll susbscribe just to find out. It is a super rep, heavy and solid - not for the faint of wrist - but a beautiful watch. Be sure to get the Noob rubber deployant strap too from whoever you order. I have the Noob Pam 104, which is identical except for the polished vs. brushed case, and of course, the metal bracelet. @donerix makes great 24mm black crocodile straps for it too.

A friend of minne bought a Pam 104 from PF, now 6 months later it has stopped working.. and believe when I say that this guy is really careful about his stuff, so I don't think that he has been mistreating his watch.

Have you changed anything in your 299 during these years?

Great taste Lagunax, I will definitely follow your recommendation regarding the straps. Black and brown strap is on my wishlist. I'll contact don.

Any wrist shots you would like to share?

I've only ever dealt with one TD,the weekend does play a part plus i can imagine them having to deal with quite a few enquiries daily but I've never had to wait longer than 12h for a reply.
This would surely depend on the question asked though,I've only ever enquired about current models, delivery times etc.Anything more tasking than general enquiries would take longer, for example if your after an older model watch that would take abit of detective work then this could take longer to reply to.

Truth to be told mysterio, I sent my first question a week ago (Monday 17/4). Still no response.

Doesn't matter, I'll wait.. "All good things comes..." ;)

Thanks for the response M.

If you said that, then I would have suggested to send a follow up email. 2-3 days, especially during the weekends is not unreasonable. But if you sent it on a Monday and by Friday aren't getting any responses, I would follow up.

Noob 104 N on Donerix black croc, 299 on Noob rep deployant:

Of course you can get cheaper crocs from ebay from Vietnam which actually aren't bad, but everything about the Donerix strap is quality including the sewn in keeper. I DHgate'd the aftermarket "Panerai" logo buckle but Donerix may or may not have some. The 299 is much easier for everyday as the brushed case makes it less "bling" than the 104. Strap changes on these Pams are incredibly fast and easy.

Great pics! Thanks!! Did you get the rubber strap for the 299 from donerix as well?
Any specific dealer you could recommend from Vietnam?

Thanks bud!

The Noob rubber strap and deployant came with the Noob 104 N, but you could
Ask your TD to source it for you.

I'm not on my computer right now, but there is a thread you could search for here about Vietnam straps, probably just search Vietnam.

Yep, it can be but it's not as unreliable as it was before as it's been out for a long time already. If it breaks down, get it serviced.
