Pam 299 help due to stupidity

I have a Pam 299 O Noob factory best Edition PAM299K01 I am sure it has the very cheep Asian movement in it. I did not buy off a RWI recommended dealer (I now know better and only buy off recommend dealers) after a short time it stopped working. I stupidly tried to take it apart myselfand caused more damage. I then took it to a local watch repairer and he triedbut said I had done too much damage to make it sensible to repair. Can anyone tell meif its worth trying to change the inside movement for a Swiss or another typeor just cut my losses and give up on this one. Also am I right in thinking aETA 7750 would fit as I have seen some for sale on ebay. Or is there a goodrepairer I could send the watch to have movement replaced?
