Yeahhhhhah
This morning I've received two parcels. One was from Germany, the other one from China... Guess what, they were meant to be together.
From Germany, a nice mat buffalo strap from Bob Straps...
From China, a nice mat ceramic PAM 292k from the H-factory... It was on the thick/pricey black strap, and man, how happy I was that I had this Bob Strap ordered: the stock strap is too thick to be really usable, unless maybe you have a chicken wrist. Another bad thing about the stock strap is that it's "shiny"... Which does not complement too well the sandblasted ceramic of the watch head. The buffalo strap is mat and a perfect match to the watch.
The watch itself is very nice. The crystal is quite clear and the AR almost totally colourless. OK, it's not as effective as what can be found on Breits or others. But reflections on the crystal are part of the Panerai DNA ever since the pre-V did not have any AR at all.
The lume is, as some have said, a bit on the greenish side of C1+C3, having probably more C3 than C1. The consequence is that this damn thing is a torch!
Only problem I have is that the crown tube and stem seem a bit fragile, and that the movement definitely sounds and "feels" not great... But the thing isn't too noisy and ticks rather well. Doesn't seem to loose or gain too much time (from the QC pics, it should gain 7secs a day... we'll see... )
Now: some pics of that nice mat black couple!
I'll post some more pics later... including the mandatory lume shot!
