hi there

I bought a PAM 28A with functional Power Reserve from Davidsen while waiting for my APs to clear a delivery delay. The PAM arrived 1 day after David posted it and I just wanted to say how happy I am with my purchase and the excellent communication from David just made it so much smoother and better. There are TDs who are quick and responsive to emails and there are some who make the additional effort to explain and answer questions. Davidsen is one and Ryan is the other for the APs.

here's a photo of my watch and a Micah Dirksen strap. I will post more when more straps arrive over the next week but its looking good on this brown one so far. Love the vintage lume markers! :cheese:

Beautiful. I treasure my DSN 057C from Davidsen (very similar dial and PR) and dealing with him is great. How much did this set you back?

How good is Davidsen's DLC coating? Yours certainly looks fine, but is it the right grey? Is it tough?

Cayman, yours and sbybuser's seems to have different lume color. Which one is more correct to the gen?

And why did you chose the A series rather other series ?

And no one bother to answer? :D

hi there, i've been busy and didnt check this thread

i bought the A series specifically for the vintage orangey lume. I like it that way. As for which is closer to gen, i did not do the research on that but bought the watch also based on the good reviews, workmanship and sales service provided by David.

B series, i believe is the new modern reissue by PAM. The power reserve hands are different. Depends on what you like. i have many modern PAMs so wanted to try a homage vintage one.

if i really wanted to be a perfectionist, the vintage lume on the watch hands do not have the same tone as the dial lume numbers. i will get that sorted out when I have some time to send the watch overseas for a re-lume. but it looks fine for now as a daily wearer. the sand blasted coating has stood up well to the daily grind so far.

heres the 28B for comparison

Following your explanations, I would choose the A-series too
PLEASE NOTE too A-series has Tritium T SWISS MADE T dial and B-series L SWISS MADE L Luminova dial

ALE

BTW: interesting pics and info to be included in the PAM GUIDE. Thanks

thank YOU Ale! It was through browsing your guide that I decided to get the 28A. I had wanted to buy the 237, which I will anyway, when I have some time to go to the bank to pay Ryan@Intime.

Well, a week so or after wearing the 28A, I can say that the power reserve works great and its one of those understated PAMs which I will continue to enjoy. I just bought a River made 3646 today and will post some picts when it arrives.
