If ever the movement of the Pam 288k dies or I decide to swap the movement to a more reliable Swiss movement, what will be the best way to go?
ETA 7750 or ETA 7753?

Will there be modifications needed given that the 288 does not have a date window and only has 2 subdials?

The ETA 7750 has the wrong subdial positions 6,9,12
The ETA 7753 has the correct subdial positions at 3,6,9

But both movements have an extra subdial (hour counter) and a date wheel.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

To be honest a new 288 rep will cost you far less than a Gen movement alone.

7753 is a 1:1 swap, no modifications needed, just clip of the pin for the 12 h counter and leaf the dw in the movement.
7750 is also possible, but you need the transfer gears from the rep.
So best way is the 7753, Domi can do it. My is running with 7753.
