PAM 288 and 177

What is this PAM 288 (upgraded 111 from what I understand?>) and 177 everyone is speaking of? I'm new to the rep game but wanted to try one out (good movement, and looks close to authentic) with decent price. Where would I get these watches? (i.e. which members and what contact info would I need to have?

I'm looking for good PAM reps, so any advice would be appreciated. Posting their contact info or SN on where I can get them would be appreciated.

Ok, so I guess the the 177 is made by replicamade? How do you guys think it compares to gen and movement for those who bought it?

Also, which one of his 111's is close to the 177 quality? Also are these watches a bit better than other ones (i.e. DSN, Lil Hero, etc.)

please help a newbie!

Hello Ryan and welcome to the rep world!

With no second sense, OK! Just an advise from someone who discovered this not long ago also!

I would advise you to read a lot before you jump into buying something!

For what you state you didn't read much. You didn't even search for PAM 288K or 177 because nobody would write that the 288K it's an upgrade of a 111 if had read something about Panerai.

Saying this just look for a review of 288K, new 111J, new 177 and then look in the trusted dealers who's selling the one('s) you like, remember one rule in rep world: first choose your Dealer then choose the rep you want from him!

Wish you good reading and if you have any doubt's first ask because everybody here will help you on the best decision for sure!

Hello, appreciate the quick response. Unfortunately, I don't have much time (kids, etc.) but want a quality product. I was trying to engage some verbage and such and see other people's opinions of the new reps. Are there any favorites of yours that you like, or would recommend.

hey Pinope,
I'm not in rep world for long but I read a lot lot lot. What I can tell you from my experience is that both watches is the best you can get for that amount of money! I've just ordered both 288 and 177 Pam today! :)
They look fantastic!
I'm waiting for the new Pam111 because as far as I know they will release one from the same factory as the 177 and 288.

By the way I own a Pam196H withA7753 and it's fantastic! I went to an AD 2 weeks ago and he told me that my watch is just beautiful!
90% of the people doesn't know Panerai brand and 9,99% couldn't tell if it's fake or not.

Hello again Ryan,

If you have no time and you want one good Panerai immediatelly then go for 288k from ReplicaMake it's even with a good price drop (yesterday was) and it's a good value for money. All reviews from foruns say it's the best rep PAM for 2010!

I appreciate the feedback. Olivax, did you get yours from replicamake? I'm thinking about doing the 177 there based on the reviews, and its seems they have a 111 as well? Is that the 111 you were referring to?

Thanks again for all your help Gerabit and Olivax. Gerabit, what PAM did you go with? While the 288k is nice, its not my cup of tea I think. I'm a simple PAM lover ( 127, 312, 320, 177 type of guy).

So if you have more commendations with those models of PAM please let me know.

Hi Pinopes,
I've just checked ReplicaMake website and he's offering the Pam288 for a very good price. All the NEW 288 come from the same factory so go for the best price, best QC and best service.
I've never dealed with RM so it's up to you.

I picked up the new 288 and it is sweet. One of the best, especially if you care anything about lume. I don't feel compelled to modify it at all, but I have a new strap ordered. I think I will also get the new 177. There is some talk about a new very good version of the 312/320 being considered. Hopefully they will also do the 028 and I will have pretty much every Panny I want.

Sorry, but that is not correct advise. Actually, the new 177L and the 288 stock from the factory are WAY better overall (more accurate to the gen counterpart) than any complete watch that you could buy from DSN (or any other modder for that matter, including LH- who charges $1K plus). Don't get me wrong- DSN does a good job, but his watches have pretty big flaws themselves, and they are definitely not better than the 177L or 288 from this factory. Don't be fooled into thinking that because the 177L and 288 are cheaper than any DSN watch, that DSN watches are superior. Not the case with respect to these two watches.
