Not too bad, may want to change the buckle though!

Changing the buckle would be the only thing I would do. I think it looks great.

Ditto, other than the buckle, it's a great combo.

Thanks for the feedback all, I think it works together. With the detailed dial this is a tough watch to match a strap with I think.
I wanted a more formal look that a carbon fiber or rubber, which I am sure would look good but more sporty.

Can I buy 20mm Pam style buckles, not sure if they make them that small, the Breitling strap tapers to 20 mm at the buckle.

Cheers,
M

Re: PAM 253 on Breitling Croc? NEW???

Guys I know this is an old post, but I need some new opinions to my related dilemia.

So I think the black croc looks good, Breitling makes in my opinion the best croc straps so I and went with members advise and got myself a 20MM buckle from PanaTime.
(also went strap crazy and bought a few brown/tan quality straps (GS,MP,Simona) that well give me some other options too)
Ok,back on topic...

Removing Breitling buckle, easy ; putting on new Pana strap buckle, pain in the ass due to larger size, but done and looks good only a littlewierd (Pre-V style buckle, though not enormous due to 20MM size)
PROBLEM: Holes are too small on strap for larger "buckle pin".

Opinions please: 1.) take a nail to it and make 1 hole larger, potentially ruining my $300+ new strap (this is a Gen)
if I change my mind in a month I could likely never sell it if I do this.
Not planning on selling, just don't like eliminatingfuture possibilities.
2.) put the shiny small Breitling pin with the brushed pam style buckle so I can use the same hole.
3.) put the Breitling buckle back on and co-branding
4.) scrap the idea entirely and stick with straps made for Pams.

Please advise what u would do.
I want a black croc option for this watch, but would not want to buy another croc strap for $150+ that I don't think we would be as good quality as the one I already have.

If it would make a difference with your opinion, I no longer have a 24MM Breitling, so I do not currently have a use for the strap unless it works with a PAM.

I hope to post some pictures when my new straps come in.

Cheers,
M

I vote for option #5. Get a Breitling style aftermarket buckle. That way it works with the strap without modification and you don't have any Breitling engraving on the buckle.

Or just get a 'gator made for a PAM. For $300 you could've gotten a Simona gator....

I do have a Bob for Breitling buckle (non-branded) that would fit,
so that is definitely an option.

I have had the Breitling strap for a couple of years, just never wore it. I had the strap beforeI ever owned a Panerai.
