Pam 253 Asian 7750 (28800bph) sapphire crystals - for REAL??

Hello, I am interested in getting a PAM 253 (28,800bph) Asian 7750 with a sapphire crystal. Apparently Joshua is the only one who sells it as such. Is this really sapphire or just mineral crystal???

It's advertised as synthetic sapphire. That would be mineral I believe.

Whatever material it is, my 253 is scratched already after a bit more than one month of daily wearing. Admittedly, the scratches are so microscopic you can barely see them without decent magnification and only at certain lighting angles, but it's clearly not sapphire.

I bought the exact same watch but from Andrew I think. It also said "synthetic sapphire" which means not real sapphire :roll:

Mine is also pretty scuffed up after about 4 months of use. My TWB sub with real sapphire is 100% scratch free after two months

Hmm... well, diamond paste will take out scratches on Mineral Crystals from what I've heard, runs from $10-$99 depending on size.

BTW is there something special about the 253's crystal that they can't make it with sapphire crystal?

about calling a crystal "synthetic sapphire"

"synthetic saphire" = "mineral glass" = Actually made of plastic and will explode like the fiddys
