hi ya'all. i'm glad to have found this forum and this is my 1st post and also my 1st ACTUAL REP (been having a few really bad fake watches until some kind soul educate me on rep vs fake)..for that i apologies in advance for any inconvenience..

i need some guidance on getting my 1st rep Pam...but i'm stuck between 243 and 326..price aside, i just need to know which of these pams is closes to the GEN n i need a watch with a good lume. For what i'd surveyed, most of Noob factory's or H factory has good lume but can anybody tell me how long does the lume actually last for?

2nd,chrono or non-chrono is not an issue. but the movement it self..a7750 or a7753...which is better? or a7753 has an additional function on date adjust pusher?

If I'd were you, I'd take a new noob 111n as my first PAM. Extremely close to gen, movement is strong, but alas it is a manual winding one. Chances that you have any problems is far less with them than with any 7750 or 7753 movements. They do not need servicing like the autos, and if they do, it will be much easier and far cheaper for any watchsmith.

One more thing, that selling and buying a 111 is one of the easiest tasks to do if you do not like it. Getting a nice noob 243 is pretty hard these days, they are out of stock, and the 326 is quite a special watch, might not be easy to sell it if you do not like the blue look. Just my 2 cents obviously...

And welcome abroad, bookmark ALE's thread ;)

thanks karesz for the heads up, i did look into Pam 111n and in fact my brother owns a gen PAM 111, and also people around me is either having the gen or rep (not saying that i'm sick of it, it's really a supberb watch).that's the reason why i'm turning my interest to other unique or rare PAM. thats why i trim down my choices into apm 243 or 326..initially it was JLC NSD from noob but in the end i still end up with pam..

Have you tried on the 326 already? If you've only seen it from pics and catalogues, then definitely go with the 243 as your first PAM, although it is out of stock currently.

243 out of stock????...my goodness...that means it's must for pam collectors hey!!??!!....after reading a few threads here and there,i've pretty much decided to go without chrono(i fear - more parts, more problem will arise )...so my choices are 026 or 243...

The PAM026 is also a super rep (check the guide) but it's a different watch compared to the PAM243. So, get both. The stock condition is partly due to the popularity of the watch and partly due to the recent raids in China.

by the way, since i'm a noob. you guys really have to fill me in on the QC pictures. What's QC pictures? isnt it the pictures after i purchased and before the TD sent it to me to counter check for flaws?

QC pics are supposed to be used for approving a watch before it ships. I know Trevor usually asks outright, "Will you accept the watch?" But be forewarned, unless the flaw you point out is glaring and unfix-able, you would be better off not being so picky. Some dealers will just refund and tell you goodbye, via, the watch is not in stock answer. ;)

but unfortunately their out of stock.......i'm way too behind....sigh...now have to choose again.

Toro, Puretime and Sead are "close(er)" to the noob factory, but being your first PAM, I'm pretty sure that a "slightly used" H factory rep would do the trick as well...

thanks for the advise, if i'm getting the gen i wouldn't mind getting used watches, but since its a rep, and it's not THAT expensive, might as well hunt or wait for a brand new piece. so for now i'll be asking each TD one by one if they still have stock for this watch....

I hope these out of stock rumors are not true. I placed my order at PT for a 243 on Oct 10th. Got 2 separate email responses right before that, that they were in stock before I placed my order.
