PAM 243L arrives...
Ok, I'm here to eat humble pie! I received my PAM243L today from Hont (was delivered middle of last week but I hadn't been in the office to collect it) so it did make it out before the CNY even although the tracking implied it hadn't.
Generally, I'm happy with it but unfortunately there is a obvious and rather disappointing mark over the cyclops. I think it might be between the cyclops and the crystal or even be the cyclops itself. The mark is very bad in some light and at certain angles and at other times almost disappears or looks like a reflection. I'm not going to return it for this though and not see it again for another month or so but it is rather annoying and, whatever the flaw is, it seems to catch the light like a scuff or scratch on the crystal. Can't believe this passed a QC inspection....it's the worst cosmetic issue I've had on any rep straight out of the box, which is ironic since quality is supposedly getting better.
For what it's worth, I tried to capture the mark with the iPhone - it's visible but is nothing like as bad as when you're holding the watch yourself and turn it through different angles.
It's certainly taken the edge off my excitement about this watch...
[EDIT: I'm an idiot. It appears to be reflections only - read below.icard: ]
