I'm considering the 305 as my next rep. I see the 243 gets a lot of luv compared to the 305. Is because of the titanium on the 305. How well does is hold up against scratching and marring? Anyone with a 305 care to comment? I've got a few titanium scale knives which I really like but they do scratch easily.

I have had the 243 both gen and rep and I really loved it but it's a beast. Really heavy and tall. I've heard the 305 sits a little better on the wrist but for me the dial is not as compelling. Also the display case back seems a little odd for a submersible. 47mm is pretty big. I'd get both if I were you!

It's just that the 305 is not really a compelling piece. You can do better with another Titanium submersible like the PAM569.

What makes the 569 any more compelling? It doesn't have any numerals on the dial either and the crown is on the wrong side.

LOL Well if the crown is on the wrong side, maybe it's not for you. The DESTRO configuration pays homage to the dive watches of old, where the watch was worn on the right arm, hence the crown was on the left side of the watch so that it could be adjusted. The patina lume gives it a different vibe (but glows same as the green lume on other PAMs). Also it has the clous de paris (or waffle shape) design on the dial. Plus a nice closed caseback so no movement visual accuracy worries.

Ok I see, it has some history. But you're right, right handed watches are not for me. Thx for your suggestions.
