Hi All,

Got a noob pam sub 243 with asia 7753 awhile ago from time shop and is not keeping accurate time. Brought it to my local watch guy twice and had it adjusted. Still not keeping good time. Wanted too see if it's worth to swap to a swiss 7750 or have someone in this forum who specializes in pam sub have a look at ? Any advice or suggestion would be appreciated.

Thank guys
gavin

I was wondering if i should swap it out for the ETA 7753 movement,as i hear they're more reliable/accurate?

You wouldn't need a 7753. If you are intent on putting a Swiss movement in go to ofrei.com and check out the Swiss Valjoux 7750. I think it's about $475.

Damn, that's not cheap. Thanks for your input. Do you think if I brought it over to my local watch guy to get it service and oiled, then it should be good?

BTW, Cadmito. Where about in Queens do you live? Do you have a watch repair guy that you go to? I'm by the queens centre mall on wood haven.

Thanks

That's about 15 to 20 seconds each day lost over 2 months. Not great but not terrible.

I know. this is my 6th rep and have kinda given up buying them. Just this week i started reading more on this forum and then stumbled onto some beautiful pics of pams all swiss "fiddy" built by Marlin. Does anyone know approximately how much they cost.
