Ordered this about a week ago from T4d, it was one of his specials for $158. Very pleased with his service, couldnt have been better.

Im not going to review the watch as its been done already and was aware of its flaws before I bought it, unregistered has done one of the best reviews I have seen on it - It was his review really that made the decision for me to buy it.

Anyway as for the watch I am very happy, it isnt too big but does sit higher up on my wrist than my pam 112.

The few mods I am going to do are firstly it needs a new strap - which I already have and just need to swap over, crown guard lever has a little wobble to it which wont be a problem and also im going to polish the bezel markers as the rep are brushed, they should be polished. Eventually I will get it serviced and maybe even relumed.

Anyway here are some photos, there not the best, the main problem being reflection on the dial. Anyway Im very happy and very happy with t4d, anyone thinking whether to buy it or not should go ahead and get one.

Cheers!

Are you sure it's not too big? I say that with a jealous tone, congrats! This is one of my favorite Panerai's but it's too big for me. Looks good on you though.

Thanks for the comments everyone, I have changed the strap already and plan on polishing the bezel markers and tightening the cg lever tonight.

fedje, it is 44mm.

R2, cheers, my wrists are small though - only 6.75", I think 44mm is my max.

Sebastion, the lume is okay but not great. Maybe slightly better than usual but you cant expect much from the factories I dont think.

Im off to start polishing whilst watching Arsenal beat porto!!

I'm a fan of the 243, would like to get one, but are these Sapphire crystals? What's the movement? For $158 I'm thinking it's not Sapphire and the movements probably 21J. Don't like the idea of a wobbly dial.
Please let me know.
Thx.

Well instead of thinking maybe an idea to read a little and discover the facts.
Try the listing for a better understanding of what it is or isn't

Sorry I see you have already posted to the listing although obviously not taken the time to read it otherwise you would know the answer to your question maybe the thing in question here is the statement about "Thinking"

Perhaps you should ask your wife because she seems to be your primary concern in your post to the listing.

Dude, harsh.

Why harsh?
He has already posted to the actual link containing all the answers to his questions prior to asking them
Better observation rather than harsh is what is the post for

I'm no stranger to sarcasm, and in fact appreciate it. The initial comment regarding a lack of attention to detail is OK, but there seems to be some anger behind your piling it on a bit by s saying he wasn't "thinking" twice in the same post. Now, I'm not offended, nor am I going to complain to a mod or anything like that, but 2 rags in the same post...seems harsh.

Sometimes people need a little help and reminding while you point out their mistake. If they make the same mistake twice, then be harsh. I'm not losing sleep over this however.

Yeah its very decent rep lume, doesn't compare to superlume, but decent

1/10s exposure. Dies off very fast though

As for T4D, he's fine :) A little curt, but definitely not unjustified.

Time4Direct, unfortunately I'm just reading your response now. I really don't understand your pissyness? Whatever the reason I had a few questions about watch, as I liked it and the price seemed good. I saw no link in his posting and just wanted a few details. I see no reason for your sarcasm to a potential buyer, it's actually hard to believe your actually trying to sell these based on your comment. Obviously your not interested in me as a buyer.

And just to add, I did not realize this was from another posting. Maybe it was a few days ago I saw it posted and forgot, but I still see no reason for your sarcasm.

Did it ever strike you that a friendly "hey. I saw your post to my listing earlier, this is the same watch and here's the link again" might by be a nice thing to do for a potential customer? A little courtesy goes a long way.

My wife just told me I can buy one now, thx.
