If it's a Gen Q, then it's got a rep bezel!

Oh, I'm not done yet! ;)

A better picture of that date font and depth would clear this up real quick. I'm sure it was omitted on purpose.

bezel is gen as well. Don't be fooled by the 15, 30 and 45 minute tabs. They were either rotated on purpose or the watch underwent service and the employee didn't put them back in the right position (we all know Panerai QC )

Alex - you're probably right, but if it was sent off for service, don't you think the original owner would notice something so glaringly obvious when the watch was returned? And what of the seller - should they be held blameless?

Hey Q - are the markers glued to the bezel on the gen?

Might have been service somewhere other than panerai, or some techs just speed along and aren't fussed about the odd complaint.

But i agree it is a blatant mistake.

No, the numbers aren't glued on, (not on a Gen anyway). Also, the stick marks between the bezel numbers are polished too much. The edges shouldn't be so rounded.

I'm wearing a Gen. 24 as I type this, and if this is the way a Gen comes back from Panerai, I won't be sending it in of service!

Then I have seen some real screw ups from Rolex Service in NY. That is the very reason I have always waited the extra couple of months and sent the Rolies to Switzerland.
The polishing is just too easy to screw up.

The case lugs are way too rounded and over polished as well. Perhaps the workers in Dal. are just sloppy or inexperienced.

Other than this, it is a good looking watch.
